These refs
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

I got to say, good job Joe for motivating the players to play like this.

Yep! He gets credit today. They've played with intensity and energy from the get-go.

He's had a few questionable rotation decisions, but other than that can't fault him today. With all the adjustments already made, for coaches Game 7s are mainly about having your guys ready and not feeling the moment. He's done a good job of that today, especially coming out of the half and getting Tatum the ball when they're not doubling it.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

What a terrible call even on the challenge. When you can't even get the call right with the help of review, that's a problem.

They can't even make the right call with a replay!

Embiid just going through the motions at this point.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

At this rate, James Harden will be 1-9 in elimination games since 2016.

Maybe if he got into shape and actually attacked the rim instead of flopping he would have had some success.

He fundamentally has a losing style because his top priority is not to put the ball through the hoop. Too many flops, theatrics, and acting jobs.
Inclined to agree with you, but I also think he’s lost a step as well. Even beyond his conditioning. He’s going to age more typically than a guy like CP or LeBron
There also seems to be a lot of mental going on there too. I think he is aware he has lost a step, and as such has little faith in himself as a scorer. He occasionally is feeling it (as we have seen this series), and can still go nuclear, but he doesn't seem to believe in himself anymore.

Yeah could be. I think he really wanted to coast into shape this season with KD and Kyrie taking the lead, similar to the OKC situation.

"...unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power. They have a lot of it."

He was quicker with the subs too. Made sure RW3 was aligned with PJ Tucker which I liked.

Al has also made the defence immensely good.
