I predict Tatum gets 15 in the fourth.

15 missed shots

So Joe has played 7 guys, they've worked hard defensively and he hasn't used his time outs. They are going to fade this quarter because they'll run out of gas.

Harden is so smart. Just baited Jaylen.

Harden is cagey...JB had worked really hard on def on that possession to stay in front of Harden.  JB putting in the effort, but somehow you have to NOT go for that fake.

One reminder Embiid looks completely gassed on the Sixers bench

I sure hope you’re right. But i’ll take anything as long as we win. This team doesn’t look mentally tough at this point though.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I said I was willing to give Joe another chance next year if we win this series. But if we go down tonight, I don't see how management can possibly bring him back. Just clueless out there.

14 turnovers so far and i feel like most of them are our guys (mostly tatum) driving recklessly to the hoop with no ball security. Gotta tighten up in the 4th
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

What has happened to Tatum?  I've never seen something like this out of a star player.

It's almost as if he has checked out on offense or pressing too hard

Is he hiding an injury? Like last year?

Quote
Tatum needs to man up, and simply overpower his guy. He's constantly losing the ball and falling. Is he trying to get a call by falling?

He has always played too much for a foul in my opinion instead of manning up and trying to score.

Quote
In Tatum's defense, he's played good defense on the whole, and he's contributing with boards (7) and assists (6). But he simply has to score and shoot better, too.

Yes, he is rooting for team mates too.    Just let the game come to you Jayson quit forcing the offense.

1 TO, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in a half is not an indication of someone that "checked out". I think it's more indicative of someone that hasn't been shooting the 3s well all series (except game 1) and Embiid in his head when he goes inside. But he's missed some bunnies as well... so I think there's something to the "pressing too hard" aspect of it.

Agreed. Tatum is playing like at trooper. He just can't buy a bucket. I am impressed by his continued commitment on defense, rebounding and his passing work. He continues to play hard despite struggling so much with his shooting.

That is character. That is how you respond to adversity.
