My biggest impression from this game is that we played with defensive intensity for the second game in a row, even after a blowout win in game 2. Too often, we get real happy after big wins and try to coast on defense. We even kept the energy up after bombing away from 3 off the tip. Progress, not perfection I suppose. Let's see how they respond now. Let's see how Joe responds to a decent game from him.

PHI needed to take both at home to have a real chance this series. Now the C's have full control and momentum. Refs did everything they could too. I know the C's are prone to letdowns, but I just can't see them not closing this series in 5 or 6 now. They are just much better and I also think we'll see some elements of "quit" from the Sixers, notably Harden. Already saw some of it today

MAKE THEM QUIT ON SUNDAY THEN WE CLOSE AT HOME IN 5
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Just pray it's not Tony Brothers lol. But idk, I still think we should win anyways. I never feared PHI, which made the Game 1 loss even more shocking

Isn’t it ironic that it was Scott Foster who called the 5 second inbound violation? That was huge.

Harden 5-28 the last 2 games and by the 2nd half of this game he was pulling a Simmons giving up shots at the rim

JAylen was in his head

They stopped doubling him and switching guys on to him (like Horford, ugh), and put Brown/Smart on him primarily. And you can tell Harden doesn't want to deal with that, he looks lazier and at times is more focused on getting rid of the ball than actually making a play himself (or taking lazy shots)

And I don't mean to fat-shame, but he really doesn't look in good shape either. Looks very slow and can't go up against stronger guys like Jaylen and Smart

So far, Celtics are 3-1 on the road in the playoffs? They love playing well on the road I can see that lol

It's very weird. Same with the Bruins. I think I read a stat somewhere that in the last 14 combined games for the B's and C's in playoffs, they are 7-7. And in just the last 5 games, they are 1-4 lol (B's lost Games 5 + 7, Celtics lost Game 5 last round and Game 1 this round before winning Game 2).

But they play well on the road and look much better too

Last year in the C's run, they lost 2 games at home in the ECF, and 2 in the Finals.

Weird.

C's have road-court advantage, where they will dominate them on opposing team's turf  8)

C's will need to play extra well in Game 4 as Harden won't be going 3/14 FG again.

And so much for the Grade 2 (or Grade 1.5) LCL injury from Embiid. 30 and 13 tonight lolol

Honestly guys I'm just ECSTATIC we have HCA again!  ;D

It was admittedly looking a little rough after that shocking Game 1 loss, but all is well. I wasn't expecting a sweep, but C's in 5 or 6 looks very likely again.

That was strange.

No, it makes Game 1 more predictable because I don't think the Celts feared them either, plus with Embiid out, they took the game for granted and it showed in how they played. Coasting on defense, not protecting the defensive boards, bad offense.
