Why are so many people here blaiming coach Mazzula? The players chocked, and once again Tatum was a no show at the end.

because the def scheme was crap.
No defense. No ability to slow down Harden. Lack of toughness. Last years Grant Williams would have helped but that guy is nowhere to be found because Joe buried him.

Game was lost when we for some REASON YET AGAIN thought we should milk the clock with 3 min to go.

I'm a 100% serious when I say Joe is not a smart person.
His obsession with milking the clock makes me so furious. It is the dumbest thing he does I feel. Completely concedes that we think the game is over, and the other teams can ramp it up knowing we’ve parked it.

I should have bet against these bums the second it became apparent that Embiid wouldn't play

C's -10.5 ofc the smart money goes to the 76ers.

Take the points and roll with the 76ers next game too.

I don't usually gamble but I really am kicking myself right now. We all knew this was coming. Any Celtic fan could have made a ton of money tonight

The sad part is, most of us here knew this was coming days ahead of time.

They were waiting for the game to be handed to them, as if expecting Philly to have a meltdown down the stretch. We can’t win with that type of attitude. On to game 2.

The Atlanta series was the clue.

Gotta be honest:  for some reason I'm having a really hard time getting into this playoff run.  Not as excited as I was last year.  Barely watching any of the games.

Not sure why.

This team does make it hard on themselves (and us) for no good reason. Hard to accept / impossible to justify the lack of urgency & intensity this team routinely shows in the playoffs.

I understand not showing up for the odd regular season game here and there. It is a long schedule. It happens. But the playoffs? This often? It's ridiculous.

Smart had a lot of good plays in the 4th, but man 6 turnovers.  Turnovers are the primary reason we lost this game.  That and terrible rotations/coaching decisions.  Joe couldn't draw a good ATO play to save his life.

This team just doesn't learn form its mistakes. It's incredible. The San Diego SuperCeltics. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

No need to play embiid game 2. Sixers got what they wanted and will go home at least 1-1.

They will roll out embiid in game 3.

Joe is going to have to actually do something as coach and make a personnel change. In particular, you're just going to have to play Timelord more and less of Al, particularly while Embiid is out. Al is simply not getting it done on eeither side of the ball. Not sure if his age is catching up to him or what, but he's been downright atrocious most of the playoffs thus far. Mazzulla's continued refusal to play him less and Timelord more has just hemorrhaged our defense, along with his other ridiculous decisions.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

The Atlanta series was the clue.

People started propping up ATL to make themselves feel better. Watching Trae Young get hot against this efense I figured Harden could get going. The mentality is broken, I do not know if it will ever change.

The lack of discipline, lazy passing, ISO plays at the end of the game, no adjustment to the zone, zero defense.  These guys are vets, but the coach allows this.
