Idc about the stats. He's not taking over, he's nor LEADING this team. DEAMND THE BALL, DRIVE, ASSIST...DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN STEP BACK 3's and cryinf to refs. He cost us big time with his tech.

The team as a whole has 0 killer instinct. They're tooexperienced to be getting comfortable and taking games.for granted. They reak like a bunch of kids who never had any discipline instilled in them. Always the stars and could do no wrong.

He's gone from the cusp of being the best player in the league to dropping a tier below superstar.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

He had 8 assists and 8 rebounds tonight.

This is an emotional, reactionary post. His shot wasn't falling tonight. Sucks but if he forced his own shot, people would complain. He doesn't, people still complain.

Can't argue with that tonight. Tatum was terrible in the 4th quarter, playing lazy no-energy, sloppy basketball.

He's forcing 3's half the time rather than playing to his strengths.

Look at butler.last night. I'm not saying we needed 50, but that command of the court is what our supposed elite star should be able to do.

Atlanta took control of the game tonight when Tatum came back in midway through the 4th. Played lazy and sloppy.

Tatum is a superstar but he was terrible in the 4th tonight.

Tatum's shot not falling is becoming his playoff norm.

I've said for a long time that he doesn't have the competitiveness to lead a team in the playoffs.
Compare his mentality with Jimmy Butler.

Tatum wants to win, Butler NEEDS to win.

I think the warriors broke him and he’s a jittery mental midget in games and moments that actually mean anything

How does Smart switch off of Young and leave Horford to guard him on the perimeter on that last play.  Fight through the [dang] screen Smart.  You are a DPOY, act like it.

Also, there really isn’t much diversity to his offensive game at this point, it’s mostly 1on1 side step or step back 3s or point blank missed layups, not much explosiveness and average at best playmaking ability

I'll trade Tatum for Butler straight up.

I mean, he was 1-11 from three with the vast majority of these being awful, iso pullup looks. That's dumb basketball, and it's the primary reason he's been so subpar lately and honestly this season. When he's slumping, he's usually playing lazy and jacking up a ton of threes, but when he attacks the rim, he's virtually unstoppable.

I'd love to see Tatum get the odd mid-post isolation around the elbows on nights where he is struggling. It would be a great way to get him going. Get him closer to the basket.

Similar to those sets with Dirk at the elbow / FT line area with 4 shooters around him. Or 3 shooters and a big roaming the baseline ready to cut for a dunk if his man helps off of him.

With Tatum's size, speed, shooting touch, driving ability and passing ability over the top ... he'd be a nightmare to defend in that situation.

that would require Joe to change his offensive philosophy from chucking as many 3s as possible and for Tatum to have the stomach to play in the post.  his offense at this point is either a 3 or a drive

Yes, when he's not playing well he's always taking those lazy spot up 3s instead of attacking the basket. Granted they were trapping him everytime he got the ball, but he was making the right reads earlier in the game, passing to JB and making plays for others, but in the 4th he seemed to feel the need to take over and he would walk the ball up the court and try to run time off the clock.

His T was harsh though...all he did was block the ball. I thought it was a ridiculous T to give. I'm guessing the referee was tired of all the lip JT had been giving them throughout the game and decided to punish him then for all his earlier sins.
Any odd typos are because I suck at typing on an iPhone :D

If the 3s aren’t falling Tatum fights the game instead of adjusting and driving to the basket
