MRI bad news for Embiid again.

https://sports.yahoo.com/nba-playoffs-joel-embiid-reportedly-ruled-out-for-game-4-after-mri-reveals-right-knee-sprain-002053943.html
No reason to play him when they are up 3-0.  He played the 4th quarter of game 3 on that sprained knee and it says they are optimistic he'll be ready to play early next week.

Hope the Nets take Game 4 so the series is extended.

Anyone think the Knicks may have a chance against the Bucks?
not if Giannis is healthy
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

I dont think the knicks have a chance either way. maybe i'm wrong though.

But, honestly dont think Giannis is going to be healthy/himself the whole playoffs even if/when he comes back. anyone who has had a back injury can tell you that they linger and even the smallest thing can re-tweak it.

I mean for someone who their whole game is using their athleticism to barrel into people in the paint and taking contact and hitting the floor. Imagine that with a back thats not 100%.

Hopefully Nets win today with Embiid out. If PHI wins, they'll have more than a week to rest up for Round 2

Devin Booker Drives

Booker comes into today tied for the most field goal attempts (10.3) stemming from drives in these playoffs.

He also is averaging 15.3 points via drives, the best in the playoffs, on 64.5% (best percentage for players averaging double-digit drives per game.

Booker's quickness and athleticism stands out so much next to old guys like Durant, Kawhi and LeBron James. He is just younger and quicker than these aging stars and it is allowing him to cause way more issues for opponents than they can.

Embiid could miss some time. Sweeping Hawks would have increased chances of not facing him early in playoffs. Oh well.

Yeah, it was a golden opportunity to get him wobbled or out early on.

They weren’t likely to start that series before Saturday anyway, which is when it will probably start should we win in 5 or even 6.

I don’t really care about the LeBron/Brooks “poking the bear” trash talk or why it’s a big deal to the media. LeBron isn’t Larry Bird, and he’s probably fine motivating himself for a playoff game, but I don’t see Larry Legend taking “He old. I don’t respect someone until they put 40 on me” and not responding.

I don’t know if LeBron has 40 in him, or if he thinks it would disrupt the Lakers team game too much, but I think Larry would be putting up 40 today.

Hopefully Brooklyn can extend the series today.

Would get real interesting if embiid missed the next game.
