It's looking pretty likely it'll be one of these two teams.

I think the overall preference would be to play Atlanta, but assuming it's between these two teams who would you prefer to face?

This is obviously assuming we lock up the 2 seed which we definitely should

I am not worried about the Celtics beating either of those teams, however I think the Miami series has the potential to both go longer and be more physical, so I'd rather play Toronto.

Same. If we play Toronto, I'd say C's in 5. If Miami, C's in a tough 6

Raptors.

Really don't want to deal with Jimmy Butler again if we don't have to.

Toronto are the better team.

Not impressed by Miami at all. No size on the wings. No big men help for Bam. Love struggling. Lowry aging. They are not an impressive team.

Toronto have a good solid team. Better balance. Better depth. They will put up a tougher fight than Miami.

With our last 3 games against the Raptors and Hawks, the C's could decide whether Toronto or Atlanta is the 8-seed.  Win the next two vs. Toronto and then lose vs. Atlanta, and it'd likely be Atlanta vs. Miami for 7.

Of course, Toronto has a better chance of beating Miami than does Atlanta, so maybe losing twice to Toronto to give them the 8-seed is the better move.  But I don't know that I can watch a full series of Nick Nurse hysterics, so I'm hoping Atlanta overtakes Toronto, even if it means we get Miami in Round 1.

I'd rather play Toronto just because it is a more interesting matchup. A team with more interesting players / mix of players.

I do not find Miami compelling at all. They have just done too much harm to their team. To their supporting cast that surrounds their star guys J Butler and Bam.

Not concerned about either team's ability to beat BOS. And if they do, well, if we can't beat them, well we weren't going to win jack anyway.

Raptors seem quite improved with poetl. Bit worried that and their length could give us some trouble. I am still scared of butler and bam, but the rest of the team is pretty bad as this point except for the occasional herro game. Love is awful and we will pick on him relentlessly while he shoots 27% from 3.

My biggest concern isn't the opponent, but how the Celtics team perceives them as a threat. The Celtics definitely have a chance to win it all, and probably should. However, it's teams like Miami or Toronto that may be the biggest roadblock to that run. This team has a bad habit of looking past teams that they're favored against.

If we look at last year's playoff run, the Nets and Bucks were seen as the favorites or close to it. The Celtics had relatively no issue with either. However, they struggled against both teams they were favored against in the Heat and Warriors.

It’s clearly not going to be Toronto, but it’s also pretty clear that would have been the correct answer.

Miami takes on the role of giant killer when playing Boston ,  I hate it ,  Boston falls right in their trap so easy. It seems mental on Boston’s part , need to get their minds focused.

Miami still has Butler who goes toe-to-toe with Tatum, while Adebayo and Herro have given us a lot of problems in the past. They are bigger threat than any other team in the play-ins.

But that said. Miami is an old team and doesn't even have reliable starters to accompany their star players. The depth of the Celtics should blow them away any time Butler or Adebayo sits.

Agree,  it’s our worst matchup of the good east teams .  Butler always plays like MJ against Celtics And we have little to no home advantage against them it seems. , it’s like Spo knows our play book inside and out or has spying going on.  But , he had KO to rat us out , then dumped him.
