The way the Cs played last night, I like their chances against the Bucks even if we get Milwaukee’s best game.

But I doubt that was their best. It’s not just B2B. It’s five games in seven nights, with travel between each game. That’s a lot.

There’s nothing too solid to be learned from last night. Milwaukee has a great, deep roster, and on most nights they have the best player on the court. Celtics had the top 2 players on the court last night and that just won’t happen most nights in a playoff series with  Milwaukee.
Very glad the Cs won. Very glad they’re in the driver’s seat for the 2 seed.  But the Bucks are probably the team to beat in the NBA and last night doesn’t change that imo.

Celts are undefeated against Philly, 2-1 against MIL.

Celtics have the Bucs #. Watching them over the last 7-8 years should make that obvious. MIL is a great matchup for us.

I don't get why anyone would say last night doesn't matter. 40 point win is no big deal? That's a rare bird. Tatum, for example, has never experienced a 40 point loss, yet we laid that on Giannis on his home court last night.

If you're not optimistic and think the Celtics aren't the true favorite in the East, you're looking for reasons to be pessimistic.

If you're not optimistic and think the Celtics aren't the true favorite in the East, you're looking for reasons to be pessimistic.

Yeah, this is what I feel like a lot of the naysayers miss about the Boston/Milwaukee matchup. We've ALWAYS played them tough in the Giannis era, even back to the IT/Horford days. It's just a matchup thing, similar to Philly. And on the flip side, it's the same why Cleveland is such a bad matchup for us.

We honestly should be 3-0 against Milwaukee. Our only loss was in OT when our BENCH pushed the Milwaukee starters. We probably win that if just one of our starters is playing.

Bucks will obviously play better and be better in the playoffs.

But the way people are dismissing a 40 point win. That's not easy.  This was imo a statement by the Celtics that they don't care if they have to go into Milwaukee because this is what they can do.

You understand that for some of us the reluctance to get optimistic is psychological right?
