I get that Grant stole the tip, but there should never have been a jump ball. The refs blew it by failing to recognize Joe calling a timeout before Grant got tied up.

That was exactly my thinking. Grant got an offensive rebound and should have been granted the time out.

No pun intended

Magic number to clinch a playoff spot down to 2

Earliest we can clinch is Saturday night IF we win Friday + Miami loses Saturday

With Tatum's recent slump, he's actually risking his 30 point per game season. He's slowly creeping down given these continuous low 20, inefficient games.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

lol, our mvp candidate can’t even make a FT at this point.

this team is in crisis but it’s so bad, they don’t even realize it. the playoffs are going to be a rude wake up call.

Bro, he went 14-16 tonight lol

That's not the issue with JT. His shot selection and three point shooting are the main issues.

Are you really that worried about JT? I feel like he does this once a season where he’ll just go through a little funk where he can’t hit a three.

Brogdon has like 2/3 of the bench points every night. Really hope he doesn’t miss any more games.

very true.  balanced out but C's should have had this put away early in the fourth but just played with their heads up their butts on offense.

it wasn’t a comment specifically about his FT shooting, it was just frustration at the end of the game when he missed that last FT after a horrific shooting night. the game ended with a 2pt margin and these guys, jb included, take the little things that can be the difference in the game for granted. these little things WILL be the difference in the playoffs.

Everyone praising Marcus Smart after the game? Smart with 3 TO and White and Brogdon combined for 0.

Definitely one of those “a win is a win is a win”.

Given the recent troubles, I’ll take it. Nice W

Tatum has regressed. His shot selection is just putrid.

He's had Gobert multiple times on the mismatch, and I think every single time he took a dang three, even despite being an Ofer tonight. Just mind-numbingly dumb.

Tatum may be exhausted. They have played him into the ground.
Notice whenever he plays after some kind of break, he often looks so much better with rested legs.
Legs are where the shot comes from.

yes. it’s a much bigger issue than his 3pt shooting. his shot selection is putrid, he’s not finishing at the rim, his defensive effort has fallen off, and his energy level is way down.

he seems completely checked out, like there’s 12 games remaining and the C’s are completely out of playoff contention.

Yeah Tatum is long overdue for a break and if he doesn't get one before the playoffs he's going to run out of gas again like he did in the Finals last year.
