Can't blame effort tonight.  Just got beaten.  And in a way, that's even worse.

Maybe we just aren't as good as we thought we were.

Oh, we're good enough. We just have the wrong leadership and wrong system. Joe's offensive philosophy has been completely exposed since the stakes have been upped and teams are actually playing hard for the playoffs.

Mazulla ball is a one-dimensional joke of an offensive philosophy that is going to get us bounced out of the playoffs early.

Double-whammy because it went 2 OT.

Smart is hurt, doubt he plays tomorrow. No chance Horford plays after registering 45+ minutes. Maybe Brogdon returns, but looks like Hospital Celtics on the road tomorrow against Cleveland

But who knows. Maybe having a bunch of guys willing to compete off the bench and looking to "prove something" actually inspires them and sparks them to a win. Because this current crew is playing like an entitled group that's won before and as if they can just coast, when they actually haven't.

cripes, Al was open but not the shot I would have hoped they come up with

Did you think it would be anything other than a three? A three for a 36 year old playing 36 minutes in double OT - clearly the best shot we could've got instead of attacking the rim.

Especially since, you know, we've been just draining threes all night.
I feared it would be a 3 to try for the win instead of running a play to just plain get a good look at a makable basket.

If playoffs started today, Cs would be matched up with Miami. Anyone actually believe the Cs would beat them?

Even if they did, it would be a hard fought 7 game series down to the last possession

Grant playing that many minutes is inexcusable
Who else is guarding Randle?
I know who isn’t guarding them: The TPEs Brad and Wyc let expire to save some money.

Cs would mess around like they have been and it would be a 6 or 7 game series. Need to hope the Nets slide to the 7 because Boston is going to be the 2 seed. One seed is gone

We played really well at the end of regulation just to get to overtime.  Then in both overtime’s we rely on jacking up 3s only.  Only in the last two minutes of overtime did JT attack and when he did then good things happened.

Threes need to be a part of every game plan, but jacking up 3s without passing the ball and moving the defense first is our recipe for disaster.

TP. TP. TP.

Like, it's so frustrating. Tatum gets two great looks and scores when he attacks, and that's surrounded by numerous missed bad threes.

Sure, in the grand scheme of things the Al three is not hte worst look we could've had, but we didn't need a dang three. And trusting a 36 year old playing as many minutes as his age in double OT to hit that is a huge leap. He front-rimmed it, no less, highlighting his tired legs.

Joe should have not been announced as a permanent HC before the ASG. Waaay premature.

We took 59 3-pointers.

I don't even think the Warriors or those late 2010s Rockets teams with D'Antoni/Harden did that  :o

That’s what happens when the team is short handed. The bench was real bad tonight. Not having Brogdon hurts.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Tomorrow is a scheduled loss. Probably no Smart, Brogdan, Rob, Al and one of the Jays will sit.

Cs needed to win all of these home games because they have a tough 6 game road trip out west coming.

Boston just can't beat the knicks in OT. Happens at least once a season.

He's a lot like Brad in the sense that he thinks numbers/statistics should dictate your play on a nightly basis.  It's fine as a general philosophy, but it is incredibly silly when the game unfolding right before your eyes is telling you that it's not working.  Need to be flexible and be willing to adjust and adapt to the game at hand.  His comment after the Nets game about not getting enough 3's up in the 1st quarter was the most telling.  We killed the Nets that quarter by attacking and spacing.  We lost because we stopped attacking and settled for bad 3's.

Scal saying what I I mentioned earlier in the post game: it’s March and we don’t know what the identity of this team is. Eddie House agrees too.

I was going to say this as well.  Not that he still wouldn’t be permanent, but maybe just wait til the off season.

But it really seemed like the dumb refusal to call a timeout at the end of overtime is just silly.  Get the timeout and get your team organized and give us a chance.  I don’t get that at all.

59 3s. Not sure how many they missed at the rim or in close.

But this team will shoot themselves out of games and they will shoot other teams into games with the amount of 3s. It is what killed them in OT and 2OT.
