Joe Mazzulla said the 3-point attempt rate is the most important stat in basketball today. He said he didn't like early that the Nets were getting more 3-point looks than the Celtics.

I've stated previously and been criticized for it, Celts will not win a title with Mazzulla as our head coach.

Yes. They need to get a real center this offseason. There is no point to hitching your wagon to this guy anymore. He’s constantly injured and doesn’t even look like he did physically before. I believe it is also the same hamstring as his knee injury (left) so I expect him to miss a few weeks considering his history.

I think the team is in trouble because they have no viable big men and a coach who doesn’t know what he is doing.

Tatum didn't sound too upset with the loss, which will upset many here I'm sure 

In the locker room after the game, a reporter asked Tatum what the Celtics were feeling. The reporter offered “anger” and “disbelief” as possibilities.

“Disbelief, no. We didn’t play well,” Tatum said with a chuckle. “They played better than we did, and usually you lose. So it’s not disbelief. I don’t even know if it’s anger. We play too many games to be angry. Move on, get ready for the next one. It is what it is, essentially.”

Tatum isn’t wrong, which is part of the NBA’s problem right now. If “load management” really is a concern, the problem isn’t that players are soft (they aren’t) or that teams hire medical professionals who study how to keep their players healthy longer (that’s actually a good thing). The problem is that the regular season is 82 games, and for as long as that’s the case, players will sit. But even when they play, there will be too many games in a very good team’s season to get worked up over one loss, no matter how ugly.

The Celtics can’t afford to get too worked up about Friday’s loss. Friday is over. They have to get ready for Sunday already.

After the team had their way with Nets .  They checked out , didn’t care no interest in playing a physical game .   

Players have to care and give effort .   Coach can cheer them on , verbally reward them ,  but it’s up to these grown men ;professionals to decide to put forth the effort on the court.

Far as coaching go,  I would watch for signs diminished effort early on , take out the starters and go deep to the bench if I have to.  I want people out there looking to play ball even if they can’t win the game.

I'd still love the 1 seed, BUT it's really hard for me to care about the 1 or 2 seed right now with the way we've been playing lately since the ASB. We also have two tough games coming up (NYK, @CLE on a back-to-back) AND later this month, we have what could be a very tricky 6-game road trip. Really not a good time to be going on a bit of a slump.

As it stands though, I'm not even sure if we can pencil this team into the ECF. Definitely not with how we've looked lately.

I think he left because he was getting upset on certain discussions involving both politics here (Current Events) and also Jaylen Brown. I still hope he returns one day. I miss him
