Yeah, lots of competition.
I think Brad has to be right towards the top alone with the Brogdon trade this summer and nabbing Galinari (even if he hasn’t played), and the Musky trade is gaining a lot of noise for its low key impact and fit. Given that we didn’t have huge needs, getting that Brogdon trade at that price and fit should be more than enough to put him as a contender.
That said, I think it will depend upon what happens with some of the other teams who had big splashes at the deadline, like Phoenix, Dallas, and then Cleveland with the Mitchell trade. I feel like Phoenix has the biggest threat if they rapidly rise up the standings when KD is back, but they still have work filling out their roster.
Regarding LAL, just don’t see it. They definitely improved at the deadline for what they gave up, but it’s only a marginal upgrade. No way they deserve it.
