You just have to make Ja shoot it. Yeah, he's not a Giannis level shooter, but he's much better at the basket than as a shooter. Stop having the bigs try to guard him out too far. Make him shoot the midrange jumper.

That quarter couldn't end quickly enough.  I really don't like the decision to play both Kornet and Muscala at the same time while Morant is on the floor.  Our PnR defense just can't deal with that.
The rotations are all over the place unfortunately due to all these absences. They sort of just need to roll with what they got at this point. All things considered, it’s a neck and neck game with a good team while you are missing 3 core rotation guys.

Hauser is our leading scorer and we're up 1.

Man, Tatum is really shooting blanks, 3-14.

If we really lose this game we can surely blame Joe on the 13 point Memphis run.

Poor quarter.

Muscala isn’t a guy you can switch everything with, especially against one of the fastest players in the league.  Memphis hurt us several times with the same play, just baiting the switch and letting Morant drive.

At the other end, Tatum is cold and trying to force it anyway.  Too much iso when ball movement and kickouts were what built our lead in the second.

yeah the biggest thing that Tatum can still do to get even better, is limit the iso-dribbling-out-the-shot-clock-for-a-bad-3 plays.
We are better off moving the ball, move the defense and let the ball get back to Tatum in rhythm where he can have seams in the def to attack.

We need DWhite to play this entire quarter.  He's penetrating and making the right plays.
