I didn't necessarily love the effort tonight.  Thought we went through the motions at times, particularly in the second half.  Still too much for Charlotte though.

Tatum is a monster, and White is becoming one of my favorite players in the league.  Love dude's game.

I loved the effort without 3 starters.

White is a great point guard.  33pts, 10assists, 3 rebs, 1steal, and 3 blocks.

Brad knew what he was doing.

It might be a personal bias, but any player that the Spurs organization is interested in and/or receives coaching from Popovich is always worth a look.  They're devoid of star caliber players right now but they certainly know how to identify and cultivate talent.

game was much closer than it should have ever been.  a good team would have made more of a push to cut our lead

With 3 starters out?
yes, a better team than Charlotte would have made more of a push to cut the lead than Charlotte was able to do.  it was fantastic that a 28 point lead was amassed without 3 starters but that doesn't change the fact that Charlotte whittled it down because we just got really sloppy on offense and defense.

thrilled they won but the game certainly felt closer than it was down the stretch

Missing starters doesn't have to impact defensive effort and consistent ball movement though.  It's not about who was on the court.  I just thought we brought our B energy level to the game tonight.  It was fine because Charlotte is Charlotte, but I hope we take Memphis a bit more seriously.

Mike Muscala had a nice Celtics debut. 12 points including 4 from downtown.

Conversely, I think they would’ve been more focused and tightened things up if they hadn’t been playing such a crap team.

After we went up 94-66, CHA ended the game on a 50-33 run. We may have let the foot off the gas pedal late. But I will say, Mazzula pushed all the right buttons today and had some timely timeouts

I liked what he brought to the game tonight considering he hasn't had much time with the team yet

that's a definite possibility.  the issue with this team is they tend to play down to their competition

Useful tool for the toolbox.  Horford was really the only pick-and-pop big that we had.  Grant is a sniper from the corners but doesn't get involved in the screen game so much.  Muscala can replicate some of what we do with Horford offensively and I think that's very handy to have on the bench.  There's value in that consistency.

I’m a little worried about Brogdon.  He was listed on the injury report and looked off tonight.  Charlotte found life while he was on the court looking a little slow.  Hopefully it’s nothing big and he can rest over the All-star break, but it’s something to monitor.

Has Joe always given such sharp interviews? His responses to Abby Chin verged on rudeness.
