I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Kyrie would rather not hurt his 3 point % than take a shot and getting his team a little closer by halftime.

Can't believe JT didn't get a foul.  Still a great half.

Clearly a foul there.

just curious -- for those watching the national broadcast, what could they possibly be talking about since they don't talk about the Celtics unless they're doing poorly?

This is such a false narrative. Of course national media talks about the Celtics. Doris Burke is an announcer tonight. And she raves - and I mean, RAVES - about Jaylen Brown constantly. She also hypes up Marcus Smart a lot.

If anything, local media is a lot more dismissive of the Celtics than national pundits.
have to disagree on the national bit -- when I've been stuck with only the national crews on TNT or ABC, they are rarely positive about the Celtics and most frequently discussing the other team.   always bugs the hell out of me.
I find this to be generally true EXCEPT for Doris and Stan Van Gundy. It seems like the other national announcers just don't know anything about the Celtics except the headlines and the game before them. Doris and Stan actually know about the team and can talk in depth.

That's why the Nets no longer scare me. They are a very bad defensive team, and even with a healthy Durant, I think Kyrie/Simmons will find ways to screw it up on-and-off the court

It’s been nice being happy and carefree during a Cs game for a change. Hope to see really low minutes for our starters (minus White). It’s a great opportunity to chill out
