Stop dumping on the Cs and recognize they are a great team and have now won 8 in a row.

Some people just like to complain no matter what. If the C’s win the championship in 5 they’ll say that they should have won in 4. All you can do is laugh.
It can be tough to dismiss, but you have to let the complainers complain or get stuck in their loop of complaining about their complaints lol.

The Celtics are the best team in the NBA, 8 game win streak, #1 record in the league, hold a comfortable lead over the #2 in the East; and they just defeated their Ken Norton one of their ugliest games of the season. Life is good.

TP sir. Life is good indeed.

This might've been Brogdon's worse game as a Celtic. I don't think he's been in many big games.

I don't know.  He shot bad but had only one turnover in 35+minutes.  Also had 7 reb and 14points, also made 3 3pointers.

C's better clean up these unforced turnovers...just dumb plays, which cost them the ring last season.

Warriors will pay more than half a billion dollars in luxury tax over 3 years.

That is insane.

watched on tape delay.  tonight's hot takes:
- what a mess on offense and defense for the first 3 and a half quarters.  Can't remember a game this season where I yelled at the TV more than this game.
- 8 missed FTs -- just inexcusable.  they hit their FTs, no need for OT.
- 13-41 from 3 and it was much worse before the end of the 4th and OT.  this team desperately needs to develop some plays to run in the half court because GSW just mucked up their motion offense.
- 17 TOs with Smart and Tatum doing everything they could to throw the game away at the end was the absolutely most infuriating thing I've ever seen a Celtics team do in over 40 years.

that said, thrilled they won.  thought they'd pull away in the 4th but I'll take a win in OT.

Glad they pulled this one out. Can’t stand anyone employed by the warriors.

Unfortunately I was in the air en route back to Boston when they were playing this game so I missed it  :( I'm seeing Shank is already getting stuck into them in the Boston Globe for shooting so bad. Without seeing the game, I'm happy they won shooting so bad. This is the type of game we need to show heart and guts to win, where it's a nemesis opponent who has had the wood over us and our three ball wasn't clicking and our stars weren't 100% but we still won. Not every win is going to be a cakewalk where they shoot 50% and it looks pretty and the fans can relax after the 3rd quarter. This could well be one of the most important wins of the year given how they achieved it, it shows commitment and determination not to lose despite the mistakes and missed shots. At the start of the year they probably lose this. Proud of the guys!

He played a heck of a lot better than D White, Grant will, and JB until he turned it around late. I like how we can give him the ball and he can at least create something whether for himself or someone else. He also missed a couple bunnies that wouldve made his stat line look a lot better.

D White on the other hand looks like a deer in the headlights anytime we ask him to run the offense or make any type of decision. Hes a pretty good cutter and a very streaky shooter, just seems like his cold streaks are when we need bench help the most.

And Grant has been my biggest disappointment this season. Bet on himself in the offseason and its looking like it will bite him in the butt this next offseason. His only use is to stand in the corner and hopefully hit open shots which he hasnt lately. Too many times he tries too hard to make Tatum-like moves on offense and ends up losing the ball. Hes gotta keep it simple
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

This was a big game mentally for this team. For whatever reason, the warriors are in their head and they play tight and turn the ball over and struggle.

I think if they lost it would've been in their mind like "we can't beat these guys" but winning I think they got that monkey off their back.

Now, I just hope the warriors get beat in the playoffs. I mean as good as they are they are something like 5-18 on the road.

he’ll still end up making equal or greater than what we offered him

For real. There were plenty of bad plays, but also enough big plays to win. I still don’t get the urge to see the bad and not the good but I’m trying.

Yeah, I think last night was a really important game psychologically, as well.  After the Finals meltdown last year and the thrashing earlier this season, it appeared from afar that the team was losing its mojo against the Warriors.  It seems like the Celts had a chance to take over the game in the second quarter, and they let that slip away.  If we had ultimately lost, I think it would have stuck with us.

Instead, JB came up big in the fourth, Horford and Timelord played great, and despite some late sloppiness they pulled it out.  It lessens a bit of the pressure going forward.

You can look at the game in different ways.  I liked the overall effort, everyone worked hard, but the team was not mentally sharp and of course they were extremely "tight" shooting.  I think two things are clear from the game.  The Celtics are the better team in terms of talent.  They can beat the Warriors.  But also clear is that the Warriors are in our heads.  They handle the match up better mentally than we do.  They did in the finals and they did last night.

From an Xs and Os standpoint, they still play without the ball better than we do.  Their overall offensive scheme is more nuanced than ours and they execute it better and more consistently.  I think that is the result of having largely the same coach and core players in place for a long time.  They did not get there overnight.  We need to keep working towards that.

Yeah, this was a good win - plain and simple. They played like ass for most of the game, but then turned it on in the 4th quarter and pulled out a tough win against the team that seems to have our number. Even against some rough calls from the refs.

And if we're looking at stats, the Warriors can't exactly be happy about shooting 40% (and 25-68 for just Curry, Poole, and Wiggins), 16 TOs of their own, or only scoring 17 whole points in the 4th. Curry was dancing, Green was being a punk, and they were on their way to bringing back their season; and we totally shut that down.

Great struggle against several foes,  demons in their heads over past losses , refs , Curry and Thompson,  so much going on .  History , new studs vs old guard.

Celtics got knocked down , but in the end got up and scored the victory .
