How about they review all of the  tapes of the finals and listen to the chants. Seems like a simple way to prove one way or the other.

If there were N chants, make it a crime going forward for any fan who does it. If this is a made up story due to the hatred of the Celtics, he should be also made accountable for it. Let the evidence drive the reaction.

Isn't Tatum friends with Draymond?  I know JT went to Draymond's wedding, JT has been on his podcast, Draymond has talked about the advice he's given Tatum, etc.

I've got to think that JT -- along with JB and Smart -- would have spoken up if they'd heard a racist taunt.  That doesn't mean it didn't happen, but apparently *nobody* else heard it or even referenced it for at least five months.

Why are anyone(not saying members here) falling for this clown's garbage? Clearly he's trying to create a distraction and muck up things on Thursday.

What I wouldn't give to see him get the Rambis treatment.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

Yeah, that's the biggest headscratcher of this whole thing to me.  Draymond doesn't strike me as something to sit on things.

Like I said before, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it was true but I also wonder why its only coming out now.

I guess I don’t understand what the “news” is. Players have been saying this about Boston for decades.

It is unlikely that any rational individual would accept the notion that Boston fans used racial slurs during the NBA finals without any repercussions. If someone holds this belief despite a lack of evidence, it may indicate a desire for it to be true rather than a logical conclusion.

Anyone who has listened to his podcast for any extended period of time knows Green has some racism lingering between his ears.

Also this is identical story he's been telling for at least 5 years just change team name and arena.

I wonder if they should allow refs to stop play and issue a warning if the taunting goes over the line.  If players can hear it, the refs should be able to also.  There would need to be clear criteria as to what constituted "over the line" but the refs could stop play, issue a warning, alert security regarding what section of the stands it came from, and announce to the crowd that if it happens again, a team technical foul will be assessed.

I guess then GSW fans could disguise themselves as Celtics fans and get some technicals called.  I would not put it past Draymond to pay someone to do that.

That cuts both ways.  It gives some historical credibility to what somebody says.  It also makes a false story easier to believe.

I definitely believe that there's some racism in Boston.  I do get skeptical, though, when there are so many mics and camera phones around, and nobody reported this for five months.  The entire Warriors team and Draymond's wife were complaining about the Boston crowd, and none of them referenced the N-word.  It was "F Draymond" and "Draymond sucks" that got under their skin.

In general, I require evidence in circumstances like that.  I do believe Marcus Smart regarding his encounter with a racist woman, but that's a circumstance where there's no counterproof.  (I will say, I don't believe Marcus regarding the OKSt. incident, for the same reasons I don't believe Dray.  I think he was playing it like a get out of jail free card, and no witnesses or mics / cameras picked up on it.)

I think I'd give a warning to the entire section, and if it happened again and no perpetrator was identified, I'd kick the entire section out.  That should get people to self-police.

I suppose I don't believe or not believe.  I honestly can't respond to a person who says "this is what someone said to me" with "no they didn't"...  unless of course I was there at the time.  Being skeptical is fine, but to outright reject it as false isn't ok IMO.  I think some people do think that if the N word was said by someone in your section that it would be addressed by people in the area (as in, someone would confront the person directly or get help from a stadium employee).  I don't think that's necessarily the case.  First, we're all strangers and we don't know the potential volatility of someone willing to yell the N word in public - maybe they're big, seem angry, and maybe drunk... and there are kids around.  This might not be a person that others want to confront directly. It's more likely that people hope someone else will confront them.  I know people say that they would confront, I just don't know if that's always the case in the actual moment.

That's what the ushers are for, right?

I think we outright reject things based upon lack of evidence all of the time.  I do it with my son daily.

This made me laugh . Oh my god do I LOVE the 80’s sooo much.
I’ve felt the same in the past. But in all seriousness, ( and not like I’m the first person to say this ) but the worst punishment you can give to athletes like Draymond is take away the ability of him to play . That’s sooo on the NBA. I get angry at referees too but the leash given to certain players is sooo long . This idea that certain players are allowed to play a certain way because they are “ grandfathered in”  for lack of a better phrase, is so absurd.
Wow. I went away from the subject. I just think Draymond is NOT a good dude. I’m sure there’s wonderful parts of him but he tries to hurt people . The NBA has enabled him , though.

I dont believe a word out of this tools mouth. Its not the 60s, its not just a bunch of white dudes in the garden watching the celtics. I have a hard time believing everyone would let any racial crap fly today. Just think about how loud someone would have to yell for Draymond to somehow hear it on the court. And somehow he was the only one in the entire arena, many of whom are african american, to hear racist chants?? Jaylen has never held his tongue about anything but he didnt say anything about racist chants in the garden? That goes against everything he stands for.

They were so quick to play victim after game 3 but yet held onto the most disgusting of the facts for 7+ months and he says something now 3 days before a Celtics Warriors game? Convenient. Yeah I find that hard to believe.

And then you look at his history, always starting crap and then playing the victim card. Hes done it his whole career. And then you have that hack of a writer Kendra Andrews who did zero fact checking it seems before she drops this crap. Just put it out quick for clicks, thats the modern day media for you
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

Think it’s a slightly different situation to be honest - obviously we are all aware that absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, and we can keep that in mind while going to Hitchens’s Razor: that things asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.

In other words, Green is making the claim, so the burden is on him to ‘prove it’, but the idea that it didn’t happen because no one was punished for it or because it hasn’t appeared on a TikTok clip or whatever has some holes in it.
"...unceasingly we are bombarded with pseudo-realities manufactured by very sophisticated people using very sophisticated electronic mechanisms. I do not distrust their motives; I distrust their power. They have a lot of it."
