Good run to finish the half (15-5)! Happy to have the lead at halftime

It was fool's gold, bad iso offense that we got lucky with will only encourage more.

I don't care as long as we win this game.

Smart with 8 assists in the first half. Nice.

Smart with 8 assists in the first half. Nice.

And he finally hit a couple of shots to end the half.

Ben Simmons has 0 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists... what a statline lol

Honestly, if it wasn’t for his father changing his natural shooting hand as a child, Simmons would be a top ten talent in the league.

We've brought it back, but I've got to tell you it wasn't due to good basketball. It was almost exclusively iso crap from Tatum and Smart.

Have to get back to the ball movement and moving off the ball.

Agree that Tatum is settling for some pretty ugly iso possessions.  The one-on-three highlight finish and the Warren bail-out foul were both bad offense with good results.  As for Smart... 2-8 from the field isn't good but I don't really mind him attacking Warren and Curry.  And eight assists to zero turnovers is very good.  Mostly he just needs to hit his shots.

I've liked a lot of our offense though tbh.  We're consistently creating good shots when we collapse the defense off the dribble.  Brooklyn is cutting off the drive but they're giving up the pass to open shooters as well as the lob to the big at the rim.  So we need to continue doing that.

more like if he had the drive to succeed at basketball, he'd be a top talent in the league

Hey Simmons lovers Smart with 5reb and 8 assists but has 6points.  Simmons with 5reb and 10assists but 0 points.  I'll take Smart.

Agreed.  I think Tatum is just tired.  He's settled for a lot of jumpshots against players that can't guard him.  Had it not been for that bad foul by Warren he would have had 0 free throw attempts in the half.  He's far too talented for that, and hopefully he's just been saving the fuel in his tank to attack more in the 2nd half.

Two bad possessions in a row by White.  Come on, dude.

EDIT:  Followed it with a great contest at the rim and a great kickout to Tatum though.
