The way White has been on and off as well as Brogdon think it's time to go back to double big. Al and TL always give you something and are rarely negatives. Bringing White off the bench means less pressure on him. He just has to fill the Smart role. Which for him is easier than scoring or being a spot up shooter. Let's see the rotation of

SG-Brown/Brogdon
SF-Tatum/Hauser
PF-Al/Grant

I suppose you are right, but every game at least once I get a jolt of fear as his Bambi legs fall to the ground.  He is a force but he needs to be healthy.  I think 25 mpg is about right with 5-6 minutes to start the game, 5-6 to finish.  Be great to bolster the bench with an effective big.

The team is clearly being cautious with RWill.  He is averaging 19 min a game.  He is actually playing quite a bit more with Grant than with Horford.  I agree with trying to get back to last year's starters.  So far, RWill's minutes have been as follows (approx):

105 min with Grant
38 min with Horford
30 min as 1 big

Not sure I understand why there are not more minutes with Horford.  Derrick White has started 33 games,  Grant 14 games.  I don't care if they feel they can manage RWill's minutes better by having him off the bench, that is fine.  But I don't really like White as a starter and I don't really like Small Ball.  That is not a knock on White, he is a useful, versatile player, but better off the bench in my mind.  Of course, if you start RWill, then the bench gets a little small.

But it does seem important to me to get a core starting (or #1) line up established.  It makes more sense to me to have RWill in that #1 line up over having White in it.

If you put Timelord in, maybe you bring Horford off the bench? You have experienced veterans Brogdon and Horford to take advantage of the other side's bench? Horford could be more effective against second units (posting up, controlling the paint). Don't think it matters much to Timelord, he does his thing to anybody. If your first two guys from the bench are going to be White and Brogdon then you create a weird substitution pattern. 

Let's see. The first guys to be substituted would be one of the bigs (say Timelord) and Tatum (he's going to come back soon). You go from Smart/Brown/Tatum/Horford/Timelord (1-2-2) => White/Smart/Brogdon/Brown/Horford (3-1-1). Then you pull the other starters Smart, Brown and Horford, while Grant Williams, Hauser enter with Tatum again. Thus White/Smart/Brogdon/Brown/Horford (3-1-1) => White/Brogdon/Hauser/Tatum/G-Will (2-3-0).
So with your first basic rotations you go from really big (1-2-2) to very small (2-3-0).
