The team is clearly being cautious with RWill. He is averaging 19 min a game. He is actually playing quite a bit more with Grant than with Horford. I agree with trying to get back to last year's starters. So far, RWill's minutes have been as follows (approx):
105 min with Grant
38 min with Horford
30 min as 1 big
Not sure I understand why there are not more minutes with Horford. Derrick White has started 33 games, Grant 14 games. I don't care if they feel they can manage RWill's minutes better by having him off the bench, that is fine. But I don't really like White as a starter and I don't really like Small Ball. That is not a knock on White, he is a useful, versatile player, but better off the bench in my mind. Of course, if you start RWill, then the bench gets a little small.
But it does seem important to me to get a core starting (or #1) line up established. It makes more sense to me to have RWill in that #1 line up over having White in it.
