I'm not calling for his firing, but if this play persists, then he needs to go.

They allowed the most points to a team in 3 qtrs....in franchise history. Let's not forget they're without their best player as well.

A team with this amount of talent would have to try to be that bad.

Something is very wrong. Joe has this team regressing and I'm not sure if he has the answers.

I’ve said it before, but Mazzulla was hired to be a glorified baby sitter just like Steve Nash was. The Cs are in trouble with this guy.

I don’t think the team has quit on Joe. It’s just “normal” now for good teams to get blown out by weaker opponents. We’ve seen it with the Bucks recently. I think players now just don’t play hard every game. They’re just waiting for the playoffs. With all the DNPs and load management, it’s really hard to figure out how teams are looking at the regular season. Perhaps the only concern is to get healthy and make a run in the playoffs. That’s just how I see the modern NBA. It’s hard to take losses like this, but it’s also hard to argue against Joe when you look at the standings (i think we’re tied with BKN now in the loss column). As bad as the team has been playing of late, they’re still on top of the East.

Teams in first place, players have quit on the coach. Only on CelticsStrong…

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

There could be a lot of reasons for this. They went out partied last night. They are burnt out from holiday season. But it did look like really bad effort for whatever reason

I don't think they've quit on him at all.  I think the problem is his coaching.  they're playing the same way they did earlier this season but are not hitting outside shots.  when the outside shots don't fall, obviously you have less points but the other team has the opportunity to attack with their offense off the rebound.  OKC did that all night.  they also benefited from hitting outside at a ridiculous pace.

that said, this team was able to play defense last season where they could hang with any other team no matter how they were shooting.  we are nowhere near playing that level of defense so when the shots aren't falling, our defense is nowhere good enough to keep us in the game.

Joe doesn’t preach the same things Udoka did. They will live and die by the 3 this year.

They had a hot start and stopped doing what got them there. How many one pass, shoot sequences do you see now vs at the start? IDC what the record is, I care about how they're trending.

They're playing lazy on both ends. What happened to the " we don't want to feel the way the loss in the finals made them feel" mindset?

They're losing to joke teams. I get that teams don't give 1000% all 82 games, but this is even bad for what we've come to see. Can you think of a young championship caliber team that plays like this?

Meanwhile we got Big League Chew on the sidelines saying we didn't take enough 3's in the last game.

As i said in the game thread, Joe said during the pre game interview that they need to shoot more threes. It’s just his philosophy I guess.

Which is what they did under Brad. It's not a formula for success. Trade for Curry then.

TP for saving me from having to create this thread. If we go on another losing skid, it may be time to make Stoudamire the interim coach.

Yeah, who knows. Fortunately it’s just one game and the C’s still have a much better record than they did this time last year.

You aren't going to win many games when the other team shoots 38 of 58 from 2 and 20 of 40 from 3.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

This team ranks first this season. Last year team was the best team after Feb 22. I prefer the last year team to the current one. I like strong defensive team.

This. I actually miss Udoka. I feel like if they played D like how they did last year, we’d be unstoppable.
