Odd, huh? Not sure how that works if Stoudamire eventually becomes our HC (love what I’m seeing so far compared to Joe Mazz).

Not sure if them being cousins is stranger than the fact Grant turned down academic admission to Harvard, Yale and Princeton (again, strictly academic offers). Wonder if he’s the smartest guy on our roster?
Jaylen went to Cal
Tatum went to Duke
Kornet went to Vanderbilt
Grant might not be the smartest. But the good news is that we have a smart team.
Yeah, it's hard to compare athletes to generally admitted students based upon intelligence. I know that most major programs admit students well below their normal academic criteria; just because a player gets into Duke doesn't mean that they're particularly intellectually gifted. They're probably above average intelligence, but not necessarily top-5%.
With the Ivy League schools, I know a lot of them take the position "we don't give athletic scholarships", but that's nonsense. They still reduce their criteria to allow athletes in, although I think it's probably to a lesser degree.
My guess is that Grant would be one of the guys I'd most like to hang out with. He seems to have a lot of inner nerd to him.
