Coming back to my All Star selections. This was done after just 16 games and I got a lot of critism for my selections. Again, this is not what I think will happen but based on some regular and advanced stats. Now about 10 games later there have been some shifts using the exact same formula. The selections are again in order with a remark that if you believe Harden (13 games) and Lillard (15 games) haven't played enough games then their replacements would be Trae Young and LeBron James.

In: Williamson (NOP), Lillard (POR), Holiday (MIL), Brown (BOS)
Out: Fox (SAC), Bane (MEM), Lopez (MIL), Murray (ATL)

WEST
Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Zion Williamson (New Orleans Pelicans), Damian Lillard (Portland Trailblazers), Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings), Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), Paul George (Los Angeles Clippers), Lauri Markkanen (Utah Jazz)

EAST
Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers), James Harden (Philadelphia 76ers), Pascal Siakam (Toronto Raptors), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), Jrue Holiday (Milwaukee Bucks), Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat), Kristaps Porzingis (Washington Wizards), Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics)

I started this topic because I want to update my All Star selections based on my own unbiased formula. Now that the actual All Star voting has started I have a condition of at least 20 games played (that excludes Harden). The selections are again in order.

It was a coin flip between James and Markkanen (again this is not a prediction of any kind just what the stats may incline to be justified). However considering my results with a huge gap from Markkanen and the next group (Fox, Gordon, Wiggins, Edwards) it wouldn't surprise me if my selection for the West will be the same as the real one (although the voting does close a month away).

Markkanen (Jazz) and Irving (Nets) are the reserves of my list. By the way, Jokic should be the clear frontrunner for MVP, his stats are ridiculously good. In comparion with my last update, these are the changes:

In: James (LAL), Young (ATL)
Out: Markkanen (UTA), Harden (PHI)

WEST
Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Anthony Davis (Los Angeles Lakers), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies), Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings), Damian Lillard (Portland Trailblazers), Zion Williamson (New Orleans Pelicans), Paul George (Los Angeles Clippers), Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

EAST
Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers), Pascal Siakam (Toronto Raptors), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), Jrue Holiday (Milwaukee Bucks), Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat), Kristaps Porzingis (Washington Wizards), Trae Young (Atlanta Hawks), Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics)

Don’t think wizards can get two all stars as one of worst teams in east. Anythony Davis is out indefinitely so you gotta replace him.

Now that the All Star voting is in full gear with some very weird fan favorites I update my thread. In the West we had thirteen players who clearly distinguished themselves from the rest of the field. The guy who's just falling out now is Booker (he has been missing games, which hurts him), he's now the first reserve. Markkanen is back in. An honourable mention is Jaren Jackson Jr., if he hadn't started the season with an injury he'd have been an All Star for sure.

Then the East. Here it has been a lot closer and that has brought some changes. The entry condition has stayed as a minimum of 20 games (more than half). Hence, Harden makes the cut now. I could demand 2/3 or 3/4 of games played, but then Lillard (25), Butler (25) and Davis (25) also get into trouble. Who else is coming in? Randle is playing amazing for weeks now and he has risen past enough guys to make it. The other one is Irving, who was lurking about for weeks.

Gone are Holiday, Young and Brown. The Milwaukee boys are dropping on the table big time (although Holiday is still a reserve). I'll probably get some steamed reactions about Brown, but I'm just using my formula which doesn't take sides. The NBA right now is just amazingly talented. The MVP-race is a duel between Jokic and Doncic, the rest is miles away and that is saying something! We're watching greatness. Again my All Stars in order for both conferences.

In: Markkanen (UTA), Harden (PHI), Irving (BKN), Randle (NYK)
Out: Booker (PHX), Holiday (MIL), Young (ATL), Brown (BOS)

EAST
Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers), Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers), Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers), James Harden (Philadelphia 76ers), Jimmy Butler (Miami Heat), Pascal Siakam (Toronto Raptors), Kristaps Porzingis (Washington Wizards), Kyrie Irving (Brooklyn Nets), Julius Randle (New York Knicks)
