Smart had a great game 10assist, 7,reb, 3steals and 0 turnovers.

Yeah his play was key tonight.  Great passing, great defense.

Close game, back and forth until the middle of the 4th.  Jays dominated.

JB was really impressive tonight. Locked in and aggressive in the second half. Hope to see more of that.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Fun game.  13 degrees in DC.  Cold everywhere, except the Garden.

Still struggled to hit threes, had sloppy turnovers in the first half, but the defense was there tonight and the ball movement, and they attacked the paint , especially in the 3rd, which kept them in the game. Then in the 4th they exploded, lead by Brown and Smart's passing. For example, they had back to back fast break dunks , one off a made basket.

Tatum had a great game tonight. White too. White's first half scoring helped keep it close early on.

Hah!  Low bar - best game since GSW.   Glad they came to life in the 4th, esp JB.    Would like to hear that they dominated, but good they were able to step on the gas late.

yeah the bar is really low after the last craptastic 7-8 games.
but a win is a win.  lets hope we can build on this for the Bucks game.

Yeah, basically, when compared to the last few games, we looked like the 86 Celtics tonight

To me that was the ugliest 35 point game for Jaylen. He was ice cold in the third from 3, but didn’t realize it. Kept hoisting 3s.

On the other hand, I was so impressed by Tatum. In the third he realized that nobody was hitting 3s, so he kept driving and either scoring in the paint or getting fouled. If it was only he who was cold I could see him driving and dishing. But to me he showed such a mature understanding of the game by just trying to create points in the paint. It kept them in there so that when Jaylen finally got hit in the 4th they were able to pull away.

Still, we jack up 46 three-pointers @ 28%.

Look, I am very happy with the win and the Celts played well in some areas, but I find this complete lack of changes in the offense when we are shooting so badly to be a big concern. Does Mazzulla think the 3's will eventually start going in again one day ? Our percentages probably will eventually trend back up some, but I don't want to depend on three-point shooting and nothing else in the playoffs. This entire lack of adjustment when something is obviously not working will cost us a chance at the title. We won't get out of the East.

Watching Joe in the pre game interview, he seems unaffected by this current slump. He’s confident the guys can right the ship.

Joe always looks that way. If the Russians invaded the East coast, he would calmly stand and watch, chewing his gum.
