Honestly Golden State was up for this game more than the Celtics. The Celtics have the best record in the NBA and Golden State is a .500 club right now. But Golden State has the Celtics number and it's the only reason they beat them in the Finals. Watch Golden State lose to the Bucks in their next game and the Celtics will beat The Clippers and Lakers. But the Celtics need to learn how to beat them even if they don't play them in the Finals again. They need to learn how to win these types of games.

Agree. I dont think the Warriors are going back to the finals. But the guys need to get over the mental hump. Hopefully we get them in Boston with Al and Rob back.

Are you suggesting they're soft? Wow......

Absolutely they are soft against Golden State. Not sure how you can't see that. They fold like a cheap suit. Look, I think the Celtics are the better team but they don't play like the better team right now. They need to learn how to win these games and only then will they win championships.

So all humans are soft?

Are we forgetting that just last season they talked about getting past the conference finals was like a monkey off their backs. Remember that kobe was glad they beat us in 2010 because of 08. Winning 09 wasnt enough for him because until they beat boston they were in his head. Is kobe soft?

GSW outplayed us, especially on Defense.  We missed shots we can make, they made shots they won't always get.  But the perspective for me is that we were down 2 starters, RWill and Horford, replaced by Griffin and Grant.  This results in our starters not being as good but I think more impactful is that we end up with nothing on the bench for bigs.  I guess Wiggins was out for them so that offsets it some.

In the end, the way we shot and the way they shot, it probably wouldn't have made any difference.  GSW are still a very good team.

Why is Steve Kerr the only coach in the NBA smart enough to call a time out when the other team is on a run? <sarcasm> lol
I counted 3 that he called, every time we went on a mini run. C's momentum stopped each time.  Watch the tape and learn Joe.

That's the only thing that bugged me about last night's game. You're going to lose games in the NBA especially on the road. And no one brings their A game every night. It's physically impossible - except to some fans who don't really understand the sport all that well.

Exactly.

But! On my way out for the evening I saw a handful of guys huddled around a smartphone in a pub watching on a smartphone (someone's league pass, I guess), so that was nice. Even if the end result wasn't the W we wanted.

I don't hate on Tatum, he is one of my favorite players.    But Golden State knows how to defend him or get into his head.    This is his mountain he needs to overcome.    I believe he will.     I think even he realizes this and it is a another hurdle for him to over come beating your nemesis.  Maybe he is awe of their star power.   The good news, is Tatum is having his most complete year ever, he is not usually even hot this time of year.  A lot of his shots were short.

GS played this game to make a statement.   I don't think we did.  I know we had no Al, or Rob but they had no Wiggins.  The Warriors are clearly sand bagging and not playing their best ball and saving it for when it matters but this game they played their best with effort.  Our defense was horrible.

Our bench stunk this game, too.   The sky isn't falling but it may have a ceiling if we can't push this hurdle.
