I’m surprised we’re up by 6 playing the Nets’ game.  Let’s start exerting our will and get back to Celtics basketball.

What an awful quarter.  How we lost that quarter by only by 6 points is beyond me.

Luckily, they were pretty bad too.

Terrible offense in the 3rd.  Ready for a major recovery in the 4th.

Nets pack the paint and there’s no pass out to the open shooter. Another poor game from Brogdon.

Actually Malcolm is having a decent game.  No turnovers.

I just looked at the box and you’re right. I was remembering the times he slowed the pace but he has 5 assists and 4-7 from the floor. Tp.

He does everything so inflow with the game, it’s easy to miss his contributions.  He’s stealthy 🥷

Yeah, I think we can turn down the volume on the “best offense in league history” stories.

Little less off ball movement than we are used to seeing...but offense still strong. 62 pt half

I think the lack of ball movement is a result of Smart being out.
The Celtics offense is based on drive and kick. When somebody drives, the rest of the team starts to move. If nobody hits the paint, everyone else frequently stands still. Marcus Smart drives to pass usually, which starts the beautiful offense. Without him, there's not as much driving to pass. Brogdon drives, but is looking to score. (He's good at it!) Pritchard will drive but usually at the end of the shotclock. I think that's why the offense stagnates without Smart.

Claxton is murdering Brown and GWill on the boards. Why the heck are we this small?

Pro: we’ve created some open looks at a 3.
Con: we aren’t hitting enough of them.

Really shows you how much Smart means to this offense.
