Boy, Joe having an F- night.

That's the second obvious missed call with zero contact that he's not used the challenge on, leading to 4 Cleveland points. And then he let the Cavs get going with momentum that we're having trouble containing now. Ridiculous. Too green for a title-contending group.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

We allowed the Cavs to get momentum and start playing aggressively, and now the refs are rewarding that aggressive play.

25-10 run from the Cavs but we’re only down by 7 at least

Gotta admit the Cavs are very good. A top 4 team in the East this year imo.

He really needs to use his timeouts wisely. Maybe he wants to toughen up he guys when in adversity and lets them play through it,  but you have timeouts for a reason.

Yeah, everyone was jumping on the "Fire Ime" bandwagon early last year too. Much like last year, let's give the guy some time and allow him to learn.

we are very good too, just not playing inspired we act like these guys did not drop 40 a piece on our home court. Energy is lacking.

Big mistake handing over the reigns to a very inexperienced 34 year old coach. This is a championship team that they just brought down a level by going with Joe. To me they are basically throwing this season away. Joe is going to get pantsed coaching in the playoffs.

I hate that Tatum has to play PF this much.  It just isn't his best spot and it wears him out.  Your best player needs to play his best position and that is not PF.  This roster construction is terrible.  Stevens after such a great first year, has made a terrible blunder with this roster.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

the start of that season had people justifiably questioning Ime.  so far, Mazzula has shown really questionable judgement in time out management.  he's not the first coach of this group to try to get them to play through tough stretches without a TO but it's an approach that's never worked

Ime had much more experience, if you are expecting Mazzula to pull off the same season as last year I just don’t see it. Too inexperienced and it will be magnified in the playoffs.

He really needs to use his timeouts wisely. Maybe he wants to toughen up he guys when in adversity and lets them play through it,  but you have timeouts for a reason.

Gary Washburn had an article about this in the Globe, basically his conclusion is that Joe doesn’t like using timeouts to stop runs, he would rather the players respond and stop the run on their own and is prepared to lose games as part of the learning experience. Same with challenges, he prefers to save them for really oblivious mistakes. He seems to be a pretty hands off coach, which is probably not going to be appreciated by many people here  :police:

I will post the article up after the game
