Cs thought the Bulls would roll over and die in the first quarter. They did not. Felt like the Cs just didn’t bother matching the intensity.

Holy cow, this might be the most incompetent officiating crew I've ever seen. Just atrocious. Embarrassing to be that bad at your job as a "professional".

Yeah. We were doing a good job of losing this game on our own but the refs just laid the hammer down and sealed it.

This probably is the best summary of the game so far. I still blame the no J line up early in the game. I understand if Joe is trying to give the bench guys some run but at least call a timeout if things are going awry. Maybe this strategy pays dividends in the end, but it still sucks to lose like this after a specially hot start.

I don’t understand how Blake Griffin didn’t get a chance to play this game- we’re getting absolutely demolished on the boards

In a way this is a good loss, a bit of a humbling never hurts to remind you that you’re not as good as you thought you were. And it highlights a clear issue with this team, the lack of a solid 2nd big ans issues with their defense, especially with the pick and roll

-20 on the boards, can’t get stops, poor bench play.

Of that list, I expect the bench to bounce back some but the defense and rebounding remain serious weaknesses.  Rebounding just is what it is until Rob gets back… guys need to do better individually but the reality is we’re small.  The defense is more perplexing.  We just aren’t stopping much of anything so far this season and that needs to change.  A group of plus defenders should amount to more than this together.

Is there any kind of quality assurance for NBA officiating? There should be some sort of quality checks to ensure refs are up to par, but I don't know of any. With all of their resources, the NBA should be able to watch most of the games and review each of the calls made for accuracy, and their should be some sort of performance-based incentive or scheduling to ensure quality. For example, this long haired lady ref has been atrocious ever since she came into the league, and there's several other young male refs that are similarly bad.

That said, the NBA is so protective of the perspective of the refs that I doubt it.  ::)
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

yeah, if nothing else, this game put a spotlight on the team's inability to defensively rebound
