Asked about the NBA hosting the exhibition game in Las Vegas, James used the occasion to make a personal plea to commissioner Adam Silver, angling to be first in line to own the team if the league ever expands to Sin City.

"I would love to bring a team here at some point. That would be amazing. I know Adam is in Abu Dhabi right now, I believe," James said, alluding to the Milwaukee Bucks and Atlanta Hawks' preseason trip to the United Arab Emirates that Silver is attending. "But he probably sees every single interview and transcript that comes through from NBA players.

"So, I want the team here, Adam. Thank you."

How pathetic is that? Did Magic, Larry Legend and MJ talk like that approaching retirement?

We do not have enough quality NBA players for 30 teams, never mind 31. And if you want a franchise, go buy one for $2-3+ billion. What makes him think he’s entitled to an expansion franchise team on the cheap? Is it his 3-6 NBA Finals record? oh, excuse me—4-6 NBA record with the * for the bubble win 🙄

I just want to point out, Lebron is part of the Fenway Sports Group with John Henry and co., and after getting an NHL team (Penguins) they have sought out owning an NBA team in addition to their portfolio to expand it to beyond baseball (Red Sox), soccer (Liverpool), etc. So I don't think this is far fetched or that Lebron wants this individually. He could be part of the group that buys them in the future and is among the bidding.

I have one recommendation for him. Why don't he take the Lakers with him and move to Las Vegas and make them the Las Vegas Lakers.

But they leave their 12 Los Angeles banners in LA (should be 11 if we do not count the Mickey Mouse season)
Give the 5 back to Minnesota where it rightfully belongs.
