We can probably do a bit better than going through the Celtics employees and ranking them on how ‘fit’ for purpose they are (fit being slang for attractive), though.

It probably doesn’t help Ime’s case that this comes on the heels of the Sarver report.

I agree, but I don't think they are married but do have a child together.

That said, a full-year suspension seems harsh. C's front office has a built-in bias for a lighter suspension.

I agree with others that if it's going to be that harsh, they should just let him go.

Yeah I think we should be careful calling it an affair, berating on Ime's character, etc. We don't know the status of Ime's relation ship with Nia Long. For all we know they could've been broken up for 3 months.

It's very fair to talk about the idiocy of doing this knowing there is a rule within the organization prohibiting it.

Not true at all if the affair is with a co-worker when you’re in a position of power.  I would be fired from my job and I assume the majority of you would as well

This season is off the rails before it even begins. Such high hopes down the drain

I sort of feel the same.  It's almost like the team struggled through adversity last year and came out better for it, so the basketball gods (plus our management) decided to say pile on more.

Two major injuries plus losing our coach.  What team survives that?

But, in better news, it looks like Wyc was telling the truth when he said the team would be spending more.  We just didn't know it was for lawyer's fees and settlement checks, haha.

No center. No backup big. No coach. Might as well yank for Victor at this point.

If Celtics has a rule that u can’t have a relationship with a co-worker & every knows the rules, then he have to accept the consequences..it’s his fault then
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark
PG- Irving, Rozier, Larkin

Just seeing this. How do we know it’s an affair? Any sources or just opinions?

It sucks but I’m not too worried.  I’d bet Ime is suspended 3-6 months, Rob’s surgery is a clean up and not a repair, and Gallo is unfortunate yet replaceable.  We’ll make the playoffs and that’s what really matters.

For all we know, the team gets more motivated by all the doubt surrounding them plus their finals experience.  Time to power through

Shams.  Consensual relationship with a staff member that violated team policy.

The Shams tweet makes it a bit more understandable, but I did find it weird when Woj and others last night kept saying "he did something that could garner a severe suspension, but didn't do something that warranted a firing" like how does that work?

The term consensual seems to be at the crux of this. Ime is the head coach. Beyond the owner/GM, what staff member could potentially be on Ime’s level or higher?
