I think Zach Wilson is done in New York.

He might still have a great career, but probably elsewhere. I don't know how that relationship is salvageable anymore. The fans hate him. The players mostly seem to hate him. The coaches (Saleh) also don't sound committed to him. It's also not outrageous to say Wilson may have singlehandedly cost the Jets a chance at playoffs this season, especially with how their defense has been playing and the weapons they have on offense (and a great running game). But he's been absolutely atrocious in some of these games, including the Jags one last night and the two Pats games earlier in the season.

Wilson had another shot after White went down with injury, but he really hasn't done anything to help his case.

Jets should definitely go hard after a QB this offseason, especially a premium one if they happen to become available in FA or trade (Lamar? Rodgers? Brady? Jimmy G?) with Mike White as a great backup. Jets with a real QB are a legit contender

One of the Fox Sports talking heads, perhaps Nick Wright, suggested that the Jets and Pats should just swap 2nd year QB's i.e. Mac for Wilson.  His basic premise was they both have talent, both probably need a change of scenery, and their value is comparable.  It would never happen, but it is an interesting idea.

The AFC South is just a weird contrast.  The Titans started 5-2 and were 7-3, but now have lost 4 straight and are at 7-7.  After the win last night the Jaguars are 7-8 after starting 2-6.  The Jags play the Texans next week and then close with the Titans.  The Titans have the Texans, Cowboys, and then Jaguars.  Seems fairly likely that they will have the same 8-8 record when they play in Florida the last game of the season.  Even if the Titans do have a 1 game lead because Jacksonville won the earlier match-up, they'd win the division if they end up tied.  Thus, that is setting up to be the Sunday night game on the last day of the year as that will almost certainly be a win or go home game.

Is it wild to think that if the Jets drafted Fields, they’d be a dark horse title contender?

Not at all.

I actually think even if they had Mac Jones, they'd be that. Mac isn't the main problem with the Pats, it's that coaching staff and the O-Line. Jets have a great coaching staff now and a solid O-Line, as well as some nice weapons

I think it is time to stop the Pro Bowl when Tyler Huntley, who is starting just his 3rd game today (and he didn't finish one), with not exactly great stats gets selected as the 4th alternate at the QB position.  Lamar was the 3rd alternate.   Obviously I'm a Ravens fan, but that is ridiculous.

What the heck?  How did that happen?

Does anyone watch the Pro Bowl?   I’m not an all-star game watcher in any sport so I’m a bad judge of this - but isn’t the PB by far the worst?  Not sure why anyone would watch.

This year they’re not even playing real football.  It’s flag.

But, the selections themselves matter, both for bonuses and as a marker for future HOF arguments, etc.

Make the selections but don't play the game.

I'd prefer that, but my assumption is that the Pro Bowl makes money.  Otherwise, they'd put it out of its misery.

Always thought that game was an accident waiting to happen.

Tua has had a couple bad games in a row. I still think he has potential and wouldn’t give up on him. I think Tua and McDaniel are a good match.

I agree.  Why would anybody replace him?  He had the best QB rating in the NFL for most of the season.
