Cincy having to go to Buffalo to play the divisional round game leaves a sour taste in my mouth. All of these stupid stipulations on the AFC Championship game that the NFL came up with and these dummies couldnt put a stipulation on a potential Bills vs Bengals matchup? If Bengals wouldve won week 17 and 18 they wouldve been the 2nd seed. This game should be played in Cincy.
everyone got so sensitive after 9-11... thanks alot bin laden

I understood your point up until the last line.  Why play in Cincinnati?  If Buffalo won week 17 they would have been the #1 seed, meaning they would have gotten homefield throughout the playoffs.

If you call the game a "no contest", playing in Buffalo is the right result via the standings.  I wouldn't be opposed to a neutral site, but I'm also fine going by the standings.

Tampa was good with Bruce Arians, but Brady's massive ego had him "fired". Tampa has been garbage in the two seasons with the inexperienced Bowles as the head coach. This should come as no surprise, but Brady is done. Good riddance.

Bowles has only been coach this year.  Arians was coach the first 2 years with Brady.

Yeah, and Arians is clearly an old, retired dude (oldest HC to win a Super Bowl), not someone Brady pushed out by any means. Heck, he retired right after Brady retired, if memory serves. And a year ago, Tampa came really close to being the eventual Super Bowl champ.

Not fair that the Bengals are having to travel to Buffalo. It should be a neutral site.

Stopping kicking extra points seems to be the answer at this point.  Just go for 2 every time.  Probably works out better in the long run anyway.

I always thought it would be interesting if a team out there almost always went for two to see how it would pan out (exceptions may be when they’re down 4 near the end or tied near the end).

I believe if Cincinnati won they both would have a 13-4 record and then it would go to head to head for tie breaker with cincy having that. So they couldve been 2nd seed. I just feel like the Bengals were more than accommodating during the whole situation that happened that night and then they got the raw end of the deal.

Also I wouldnt be against that game being played on a neutral field either, that would be the other option

The discussion about CIN is fair.  They are the team that got the worst of all this.  I guess that they could have lined up and said they were ready to play but they didn't do that.  They went along with the postponement.  Obviously, at the time, they didn't know all the implications, and they were clearly trying to do the right thing.  But it is a very real possibility that they would have gone on and won the game and had the home field vs. Buffalo.  In fact, this is probably the most likely outcome.

The way Buffalo has been playing, CIN may still win.  But home field is still a very real advantage for Buffalo.  CIN fans have a legitimate grip.

The Lamar drama ensues. https://www.theringer.com/nfl/2023/1/18/23560816/lamar-jackson-ravens-future-speculation

I’m usually not into decoding social media posts, but this leads me to think Lamar is gone. And he’s going to get paid. A lot.

Trying to gauge the emotional meter on this one. I would guess Cincy coming into Buffalo may come in with the edge.  Doesn’t negate home field, but I think the Bills may suffer from emotional overload over the past few weeks.  Cincy knows they got a little ripped off and also know they took the high road. They were also off to a good start a few weeks ago in Buffalo. This might very well keep them steady and ready.  The ‘do it for Damar’ energy loses some steam now that he looks to be healthy and headed to a substantial recovery.

And Buffalo didn't look all that good last week, barely survived the Dolphins and their third-string QB. They'll need to up their game quite a bit to beat Cincy.
