Gallinari has a torn ACL per Shams

I hope you're wrong about that. I would also like to see Hauser get a chance... I hoping for an expanded rotation this year.

Getting past the triggered trauma of 5 minutes of Gordon Hayward, it’s taking a while to find a potential bright side to the Gallo injury.   Of course the first positive by comparison is that 34 yo Gallo is no 27 yo Hayward. Next is that the promise of 2018 included Kyrie Irving.

But then, there are the possibilities of what can emerge as a result of 15-20 newfound minutes in the rotation.  Depending on who Brad signs or trades for in the next few weeks, it’s possible that the loss of Gallinari is negligible.  Especially true if the opening becomes a door for someone like Hauser to become a weapon off the bench.  Unlike a number wishful thinking failures (Edwards, Romeo, Nesmith…), Hauser showed he could shoot in NBA games in his limited opportunities.  At 6’8” he could be an ideal sharpshooter if he is able to get his shot off and grow his ability to stay on the floor defensively.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that Hauser has shot over 40% from 3 at all levels and usage rates. Besides being an elite shooter Hauser seems to have a good BBIQ.

I hope your right .  Gallo s length was tuff on opponents around the basket,  no replacement for natural long body and arms

Gallo is definitely a better player but Hauser can shoot at a high level.

The hope that Hauser will be able to replace the role of Gallo is unrealistic. Gallo is a proven veteran, is 6' 10", can not only shoot incredibly well in NBA over a long sustained period (as opposed to Hauser who has yet to even show he can do it in an NBA summer league), Gallo is excellent playing the post who is a master a drawing fouls and hitting his free throws at a very high clip.   His injury is going to be a huge loss for our team.

Gallo is definitely a much better player but Hauser has a beautiful shot and can at least provide some spacing.

After receiving further evaluation, Boston’s Danilo Gallinari has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in his left knee, per sources. This is the same ACL that Gallinari tore in 2013.

That's what I was afraid of. And what Stevens was not afraid of enough.
Gallinari has worse knees than Robert Williams. He should not have been allowed to play in Italy.
I wonder what his contract says about this. Do the Celtics have to eat it? Hello media.
His career in Boston is about finished.
He is not that big a loss. Strictly a part time player who can be replaced.

I wouldn’t say it looks like anything.  They haven’t signed anyone or made a trade in the 3 days since the news that Gallinari tore his ACL.  I’ll be very surprised if they go into the season without making a roster move to replace DG and add big depth.

Am I the only one that doesn’t see Hauser as an NBA-caliber player?  I just don’t get it.  It’s not even just his defense.  He doesn’t appear to have any offensive game other than a spot-up jump shot.  He can’t seem to create for himself or others.  I just don’t see how he’s going to be able to help the team in any meaningful way
