He's already a good teammate.

Sounds good Liam - I agree.  I don’t know what previous teammates though if him.  He’s obviously an articulate guy, and going to a team with a bunch of bright, articulate guys.  Hope he fits in.

I think he'll be an excellent fit. Same for Gallo. I think Brad was really thinking of fit with the additions this year.

Agreed - a team player with little ego.  During his rookie season, he asked that the money they would spend on a ROY campaign be given to charity.  So when he says he doesn't care about coming off the bench, I believe him.  The only question is his health, and if he stays healthy, he'll be a huge asset.

Good to see Brogdon reaching out to one of his fellow teammates, esp considering they're both new to the organization and were acquired the same offseason.

Love the great sportsmanship.

I think (perhaps wishfully) that the lesser load he will take on here in terms of MPG and offence will hopefully result in less chance for injury for Brogdon. He is ticking all the right boxes
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

Hope so, but he was hurt 2 of the 3 years in Milwaukee when he had a lesser role and minutes, so he unfortunately is probably just one of those guys that is going to miss some time.  Just need him healthy for the playoffs.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Most of the competitive teams in the EC improved this off-season, at least on paper (talent). C's also improved, but it's the BBIQ and team cohesion where they need to separate themselves. In that respect, getting Brogdon is great. I want to see the C's out-smart their competition and avoid unforced errors.

I don't get Brogdon as a 6th man. What is White's role then?
What about Pritchard?

I'd rather start
Brog, Smart, JB, JT, TL
with bench
PP, White, Grant, Gallo, Al

If slim Grant can stay the whole year and not relapse it works incredibly.

Brogdon displays great leadership qualities and already has a close relationship to JB. Gestures like this go a long way to building chemistry.

Brogdon’s acquisition should not distract from the fact that the Smart-Brown-Tatum-Horford-Williams III was THE BEST LINEUP IN THE NBA this past season. The lineup maintained its positive impact throughout the increased competition level and Rob’s injuries in the playoffs.

To change it now despite the overwhelming success of a Finals run, a #2 seed, and dominating opponents early and often would be lunacy. Brogdon will probably be the 6th man with one of the bigs moving to the bench and, if the lineup has close to the level of success of the starting lineup, it’ll be the closer.

Guess the team playing poorly for three months and falling apart games multiple times including finals gets forgotten about.

I'm not sold on last year's starting lineup.

White's role is to come in and be a great bench guy. He can fit with anyone on the roster. The only thing he can't do is score consistently, but he's great with anyone else.

Pritchard's role is to get hot and increase leads in spot minutes.
