The answer is obviously yes, right?  And yet, Hoopshype disagrees:

https://hoopshype.com/lists/nba-ranking-top-25-power-fowards-2022-23-giannis-davis-zion/

That just seems downright disrespectful.

He was easily top 25 last year. He had a great year.

I’d have him top 15, never mind 25.  Horford was a plus defender all year.  I feel like a lot of these people don’t value both sides of the ball like they should.

That list is a complete joke. How can you have Banchero at 10, Murray at 25 and then completely leave Holmgren off the list? makes no sense, as does leaving Horford off of it. Guess there’s a reason I’ve never heard of Frank Urbina… :P

Draymond number 8, and Anthony Davis number 2, he's better than both those guys.

At least they put Tatum number 1 for SF and Brown number 3 for SG.  Oh, and Smart was 20 for PGs.  Ridiculous that Big Al was left off the top 25 list....a bad joke!

Being in the top 25 isn't special, given that there are 30 teams, each one with a starting PF. Horford did very well last season, and he has a game that seems like it will age well, but he's 36, and age has to catch up with him at some point fairly soon.

I think Horford has one more year in him at this level, and it should be enough to get us banner 18. After that I expect a decline and a gradual move to a vet leadership role on the bench.

Considering about 8-9 of those 25 they list are Centers and not PFs, Horford's omission is lunacy.

Giannis Antetokounmpo at #1 is easy but beyond that, this list is all over the place.  It is tough to classify players as either PF or C in many cases.  For example Towns, is he really a PF?  Most of these players can play either so they are combo PF/C but they tend to lean a little more toward one position or another.  Some people think Tatum is or should be a PF for example.  There just is no clear way to classify a player to a specific traditional position.

So based on that, I am wondering if Horford will show up on the Center list.

considering the Wolves just traded for Gobert, then yes Towns is a PF, or at least the Wolves really really hope he is.

Yes, Towns will play the more traditional PF role when he is on the court with Gobert.  But he will play in different line ups also  Gobert probably won't play PF much if any but Towns will play C at times.  I understand that looking ahead, and in the context of Gobert now on the team, Towns is probably rightly classified as a PF since you have to pick one position for this type of comparison.  But put him on another team or another situation and he might be more of a C.  I am not sure which is really his natural position.

If Horford isn't on the top 25 C list either, we can start a list of the biggest snubs or the most underrated and Horford can go on that list.

I'm guessing both Rob and Al will be on the center list.
