Free agent center Luke Kornet has agreed to a two-year deal to return to the Boston Celtics, league sources tell @YahooSports.

No thanks.  This better be as a mascot.
Roy, those towels on the bench don't wave themselves. kornet has a clear role as the designated heir to M L Carr.

Kornet is going to coach a tanking Celtics team only to miss out on Tim Duncan?

ha ha ha, good one and a tp for you.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I’ll hold my reaction until we learn how much is guaranteed.  A partial deal for training camp, it’s not my money so whatever.  Fully guaranteed roster spot for two year, no thanks.

It's partially guaranteed per BRobb.

Good news.  Hopefully we still are after Bryant.

Kornet is just a big body.  We gave up Theis in the Brogdan trade, so it's not surprising that Kornet comes back, probably on a very cheap contract.

I still feel we need another big.  Preferably a rim protector and rebounder.  Our 3 legit bigs are Rob Williams, Horford, and Gallinari.  But we all know Gallinari can't defend the paint.  Kornet will be buried on the bench or brought out to absorb fouls but I don't feeel comfortably giving him more than 10 minutes a game in a garbag time, let's play out our bench kind of role.

Why?

They don't even trust him enough to play him. So why bother bringing him back?

Kornet is our Tacko Fall. Don't expect much out from him except garbage time

Yeah, it’s just a wasted spot.  A charity contract.

Seems more like a glorified camp invite.

It’s a hedge move. In case we strike out on a more competent back up center. Makes sense to me.

Filler for a future trade?
