Are the Celtics doing the thing where they get their names connected to every deal and then do nothing so they can say they tried? It seems so familiar.

Does seem a little early for this thread.

Maybe so, but it seems like years past where management says they are going to do something to upgrade the team but it all doesn't work out.

Who knows. I just hope if we can see the bench is not good enough then Brad and company see it.

I know they want to develop within but I don’t see anything in Nesmith and Hauser seems like a good g league player.

It has to improve.

You'd have to play Nesmith and Hauser to develop them.

I think they both are unplayable as regular rotation players…esp Nesmith.

I really don't want to do the 7 man rotation again all year and run out of gas in the playoffs.

I'm against having players Ime thinks are unplayable on the roster. It's just a waste.

Think Boston has 3 serviceable guys off the bench in white, Grant and Pp. None are great. None are consistent. None can spot JT and JB to give them rest.

Also think theis is useless but he can steal you some minutes. He’s not a legit option really.

I think we need more than steal minutes. We need guys that can play during the year so we don't burn out our starting 5 and we need to develop a productive bench that can play in the playoffs. If our bench isn't legit it's on management and coaching to improve the situation.

We need to use the taxpayer MLE and a good chunk of the Fournier TPE to bring in 2 guys who can be let’s say our 6th and 8th men, so that Grant White and PP are our 7th, 9th and 10th guys.

I know they want to develop within but I don’t see anything in Nesmith and Hauser seems like a good g league player.

It has to improve.

You'd have to play Nesmith and Hauser to develop them.

I don’t know why you consistently lump Hauser, who was a 2-way player for half the year and then injured a bit when he wasn’t, in with Nesmith, in terms of Ime not playing them.

I was responding to the Nesmith/Hauser comment above.

If they sign Gallinari after he is released and can nab Kennard with the TPE, I say off season well done.
