IT: Welcome To Derry on HBO.

As a huge fan of the 1986 novel and the 2017 movie, I must say, the pilot episode was massively disappointing. I have seen better horror storytelling in episodes of Goosebumps.

It was so bad that I am actually astonished that HBO green lit it to air. Rare miss by the network.

I'm going to give it a chance.  A lot of King fans loved it.  I've got more mixed feelings.  I wasn't a fan of It's form in the first episode, but I'm curious to see how they follow that ending.

I read some rumors online about the basic plot, and it sounded legitimately terrible.  So, I guess I'm holding out hope those rumors are wrong.

Started "The Diplomat week before last, finished it last night.  Really good!  Can't wait for season 4.

BTW, Chad Powers ending on a cliffhanger and not sure if it's coming back.  WTH!  Countdown and Butterfly the same way.  These creators need to end a story at season end and start a new one for the next.  Cliffhangers are horrible to the viewers.

Just watched the first two episodes of Pluribus on Apple TV+.  The creator of this amazing show also gave us Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.  Rotten tomatoes critics score has it at 100%.  If you are into sci-fi at all, you will enjoy this show...I really like it.  Reminds me of Twilight Zone and recently Severance.

I started watching Lightning Strikes on Netflix.  It?s a limited dramatic series profiling James Garfield and his assassin.  I really enjoyed the first episode.  Clearly they?ve taken some liberties for effect, but it?s a compelling story with some excellent actors and excellent period look and feel for the 1880?s.  Made by the makers of Game of Thrones I think I heard them say.

I really liked it, shining light on history that many of us have never appreciated.

I really enjoyed ? Servant? on Apple TV for the first  2- 2 and 1/2,seasons. It seems like it stretched it out to get more content and it killed the  tension and creepiness: mystery and had to turn it into almost a dark comedy . Too bad. It was still with the watch but it started great.

The Last Frontier on Apple is as formulaic as it gets . But if you like that it?s fine.

Yep.  It's not a deep thinker, but it entertains.

I watched the Ed Gein series.

It's a muddled mess, combining several potential narratives into one.  It shows some promise at first, exploring Gein's upbringing, trauma, and schizophrenia.  But, it adds fictional subplots and a focus on shock value (while at the same time pointing a figure at media and Hollywood exploitation).

It could have been a good 4 to 6 episode biopic.  Instead, we got schlock.
