Boban, Burke, Brown, Chriss, and 26

Pretty weak for Houston, but Wood should be great next to Luka.

Wow.  That’s a surprisingly low return for a productive player on a decent contract.  They must have hated his attitude.

Dang I was actually hoping the C's would target him this offseason. But I don't think we're allowed to make trades since they're playing right?  :P

Wait I thought the moratorium period don't start until July 1, players can actually get traded now even tho season still in progress? Ain't that tampering or something or unfairness?

Like, what if the Celtics or Warriors wanted Wood lol.

That was my reaction and why I thought Boston could actually get him for the TPE and the 23 1st.  Wish we could have been in the mix for him, attitude issues and all, as I think he'd have been a nice piece for the bench (and eventual Horford replacement - not stylistically but in the starting 5).

I mean some people are harping on the team's mental hurdles during these finals, so not sure how Wood would fit in with that in mind

Yeah that's my question...

Teams can resume trades as soon as they’re eliminated from the playoffs, although this one won’t be official until draft nights.

I wonder if this means Kleber will be available.  $9 million guarantees on July 3rd.

Yeah but like it seems everyone is reporting that they’ve agreed and Dallas media is pretty much saying “Welcome to Dallas, Wood!”

Like what if Boston wanted to trade for him. Maybe I’m overthinking it but that sounds BS.

Then Houston waits and completes the trade when the Finals are over.

Do you think Brad Stevens has turned off his phone?

He's free to have calls and conversations with all 29 other GMs right now and every single day of the year.

If Boston wanted to trade for Wood, then surely they've had conversations with Houston already.  So either Houston liked Dallas's offer better, or the Celtics didn't express serious interest.

Now here's something to think about.

Looks like Dallas got Wood for the #26 pick and salary filler.  And you know what beats that?  The #25 pick (plus a future pick swap if you want to sweeten the deal).  The #25 pick belonged to Boston before they traded it for White.

Would you rather be where the C's are now, 2 games away from a championship (but also 1 loss away from being eliminated).

Or would you rather have Christian Wood next season?
