Yeah I won't lie, he's stepped up big time. He's a big reason we didn't fall behind 15+ early today and also filled in nicely for Smart in Game 4

Derrick White. 6-8 from the field for 14 points. He scores when we need it the most.

His buckets were huge and he scores well off the dribble — hope it carries over.

But two things he ALWAYS does:

1. That ball does not linger in his hands. He pops it around and he makes creative, incisive passes into the teeth of the defense.
2. His defense is really stellar.

Also he ran faster tonight than I think I’ve ever seen him run. He’s feeling good and playing with confidence.

Huge win tonight. Butler, to me, looks hurt. Lowry, wow. And no Herro.  Hopefully the crowd can carry the C's Friday night.

People have been implying it in the media, but the Heat are also dealing with injuries but also, their team is on the older side which I'm sure is another factor. Tucker and Lowry are 36-37 year old, Butler is in his 30s. Might not be as easy for those guys to deal with injuries and suit up and go 35+ MPG regularly which they have to since this series is an "every other day" schedule. If there was 3 days off like the C's-Bucks had it would help Miami a ton

Age is certainly a factor. Watching the KG era Celtics, we know this painfully. With short turnarounds in tough playoff series, the older teams run out of gas in the second half and that's when the shooting plummets. Young guys with young legs dominate those moments.

completely agree. this every-other-day schedule is brutal, even for the young guys, but it must be hell on the older guys. mark cuban was complaining about this today and he has a point.

Said it at the start of this series, the heat are not legit. They're a team that had a good coach get them to max out in the reg season.

If boston was mentally tougher, this would have been a sweep or at least don't in 5.

Jaylen broke the will of the Heat with his 2nd half performance. You could hear the Heat's realization coming into existence that the series was over with that dunk.
