First playoff game this year that no one on the opposing team was given star treatment with the officiating. It makes a difference.

We shot like crap and still blew them out. We've blown them out 2 out 4 games this series and the other two were close loses that we threw away for poor effort. If we play the right way, they can't beat us.

Gundy says we are the team to beat and we will win it all. He does love Defense!

i think we matchup with GS better than many think. we can beat GS down low

run curry and klay off the line

Golden State has not gone up against the type of defense they will have to deal with against the Celtics.

Plus, Draymond Green tries that bully ball with us and he will find a team that punches back.

Who cares about the warriors or draymond green! The heat are as close to the finals as the Celtics and they have home court?

relax. we are not playing. we are just fans and can talk about any future games. jeeeez man. LOL

do not worry I will be focused for game 5 ok?? LOL
LET'S GO CELTICS!

38 FGA to 14...they couldn't guard us without fouling us. We feasted on the line tonight

I really hope Timelord can play the rest of this series. Bam Adebayo looked SHOOK today and is definitely affected by bigs not named Theis lol

Heat fans not happy (I redacted the swear words)

ha, that looks a lot like this place after a loss.  ;D

I have yet to meet an NBA fan anywhere who says, "Man, the refs really favor our team and the league clearly wants us to win."

The funny thing is, in Game 1 Butler took like 20 FTs and I didn't hear a peep from Miami fans either

But look at how this series has played out. When Horford AND Timelord are playing, the Heat suddenly have no answers inside even with Bam who looks shook. Horford was out Game 1 and so was Smart which is kind of a big deal.

The whistle last night was friendly towards Boston but come on, Miami started the first 8 minutes of the game with 1 single point. That's definitely not on the refs. I wish the refs would be more consistent too. Miami does illegal screens constantly and it took until yesterday to finally call one.

Also loved seeing Tucker committing a blatant foul and then acting surprised he got called for it. The more I watch this series the more I realize Tucker also gets away with a lot. Everyone talks about him being physical and tough to go against but he gets away with so much contact and occasional shoves/bumps

So the FTA was 36 Boston, 14 Miami, a ratio of 2.6 to 1 in favor of Boston.  From a fouls called standpoint, it was Miami 26 Fouls and Boston 15 Fouls, a ratio of 1.7 to 1 in favor of Boston.  What this says is that not only did Miami have more fouls called on them but a higher percentage led to FTs for Boston.

I had the opportunity to watch this game pretty closely.  I felt there were a few light calls on Miami but overall, I did not see anything egregiously unbalanced in what was being called a foul.

For the series, the attempts are 123 Boston to 84 Miami.  Fouls called are 92 against Miami, 80 against Boston.   Those are both much more even for the series overall than for just the last game.

I can understand how the Miami fans feel.  I felt that way against MIL but in reality both FTAs (145 BOS, 143 MIL) and Fouls (149 against BOS, 140 against MIL) were pretty even.  For the entire playoffs, the Celtics have the most FTA per game of the remaining 4 teams, MIA the fewest, but it is +/- just a couple per game.  Fouls against are even closer, MIA 21.5, BOS 21.8 so we have had more fouls called on us.

The risk here is that the refs take this in and subconsciously or even consciously try to compensate.  They are not oblivious to this information.  I am sure that MIA will get more calls their way next game at least.  We can't let that bother us if it does happen.  Just play through it.

Curious to see how the National Media treats Jimmy Butler today. Tatum got scorched after his Game 3 vs. MIL last round, and again after Game 3 of this series. Meanwhile, Butler put up 40 in Game 1 (along with 18 FTs btw), then 29 in a blowout loss and has followed it up with stinkers the last two games. Yes, he may be hobbled but he wasn't said to be hurt in Game 2 when he was inefficient and then last night, he just looked trash.

Butler gets superstar treatment from the media and then you got guys like Shaq saying "if Butler wants 40, he'll get 40"  ::)

Miami was 6th in PF for the season. C's were 27th I believe. I'm not saying the games were perfectly officiated, but Miami does foul a lot and they're playing UDFA against better talent. These teams are not equal and usually better talent will get the calls.

Foul disparity?....The Heat should have been called for more fouls than they were---constantly grabbing.

They don't understand to get a "fair" whistle the refs would actually have to swallow it and screw Boston in the process.
