What’s the solution? I think the guys should perform over-the-top flop theatrics/act injured each and every time Giannis commits an obvious charge. It may be the only way to get those offensive fouls called.

These guys are playing bully ball and we need to respond. Is it too dirty to put Kornet in and have him throw the hardest elbow possible to Giannis’ chin? JK, of course…

How do we respond to this physicality/bully ball?

Bucks have gotten away with playing like the old Bad Boys Pistons with the physicality and fouling such that the refs just swallow the whistles.

Don't see that changing short of a Mchale-on-Rambis-type-clothesline on one of Giannis' drives to the hoop.  player would likely be tossed for the series but it'd make a point

Well, Ime said the refs told him they’re not going to call an offensive foul if the players aren’t falling on the ground, soooo I’d expect a lot of bodies flying around next game.

It’s insane that a league who fines you for flopping, has their officials telling coaches they won’t call a foul unless someone hits the floor

It's not in the rulebook, but then again... a lot of what NBA officials go on about is not in the rulebook

The whining about the physicality is funny given that's how we beat the Nets.  It's the playoffs.  Just put on your big boy shorts and man up.

What rules were systematically ignored in that series?

They didn't call it even when the defender fell down. Doubt that makes any difference.

Tatum had several push offs himself a few elbows thrown to create space which were not called

I expect a tight officiated game 4 which should help Boston

i was most disappointed by the lack of response to giannis’ takedown of tatum. someone on this team should have sent a message to giannis and the entire bucks team via a hard foul.

despite the refs turning a blind eye, the bucks need to know they will pay for overly physical and dirty play. i was disappointed marcus or grant didn’t take an opportunity to send a strong, physical message, especially in response to the tatum foul, which could have seriously injured tatum. from what i’ve read about ime, i’m surprised he didn’t call for it during a TO.

I didn't think that giannis foul was that bad, but the elbow Rob took warranted an ejection.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

If Luke Kornet is our enforcer, we are cooked.

Start stepping on his feet hard since he likes to ram our guys over and get away with it and make it look unintentional.

Or bring in Zaza Pachulia. Sorry to say, but the NBA is turning into WWE so everyone's playing dramatically and dirty so we gotta do the same. No such thing as clean sports nowadays

And what's the line between physical and dirty? That Rob Williams shot deserved an ejection.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I am truly surprised at what I am seeing from Giannis and gang. I haven't watched him play a lot in the last couple of years and I didn't realize his game is 100% based on demolishing his opponent. It's a little disappointing, because he seems like a nice guy, but his game is not pretty at all. He is a lot worse basketball player, in terms of skill, than I realized.

Not a whole lot we can do unfortunately. Just have to keep playing our game and hope both Tatum and Brown come to play. I feel like we are the better team, but that doesn't always mean you are going to win.

THROW GIANNIS OUT. SUSPEND HIM A GAME. WHAT WAS THE DIFFERENCE IS WHAT HE JUST DID TO JTATUM (WHO HURT HIS LEFT WRIST/HAND ON THE FALL) AND WHAT DILLON BROOKS DID??? GIANNIS BLASTED TATUM IN THE FACE WITH HIS ELBOW! OH, THAT'S RIGHT, GIANNIS IS A SUPERSTAR AND BROOKS IS BROOKS.

Once in a while, I agree with Skip Bayless. This? 100%.
