Marcus Smart will be questionable for Game. 2. Ime: “He’s sore. Pretty bad thigh contusion.” Said he got hit twice in same spot during Game 1

Ime Udoka says Marcus Smart will be questionable for Game 2 with his quad contusion. Said he’s sore but he’s a “tough guy who’s going to try to play through some things.” – 1:03 PM

In other words, Smart will be starting the game as usual.

Man we need him badly. I do not want to see the PP Holiday matchup.

Smart will play but boy, Pritchard and White are going to have to step up.

I do think if the C's were up 1-0 in this series maybe they play it safe with Smart and let him rest. There are 3 days off after Game 2

Well, he needs to play since it's a playoff game and they're down 0-1. Game 2 is practically must-win.

He'll play and hopefully will be OK.  Wonder if anyone will target the area. Get through Game 2 and a nice layoff for healing till Game 3.

Going to be a big loss for us if he's not 100% defensively.

Ime Udoka on Marcus Smart: “He’s out. Swelling, pain, restricted movement…I don’t think it’s long term. With 3 days off, we assume he’ll be okay (for Game 3).” Derrick White will start.

Time for White to step up and show the doubters here why he was worth a 1st!  I’m confident it’s in him.

That is a big loss.

On a positive note, I am excited to see Derrick White get a larger role for the day. Excited to see if he can rise to occasion. He is certainly capable of doing so.

The bigger issue is who replaces Derrick White off the bench. Probably Nesmith. Less versatile and capable bench production. Hopefully Nessie can get hot and make some outside shots.

I'm hoping this leads to more minutes for Pritchard and that he gets hot from outside and kills the Bucks tonight.

I'm going to guess that the guy who replaces White off the bench is Theis.  Theis has not typically been part of the normal rotation when Timelord and Horford have been healthy, but he can help us match size and maybe draw some bigs out of the paint on offense.

Ugh big loss. Must be a really bad contusion to sit out a playoff game. Fully expected him to play through it.

No more excuses for White. Has to step up.
