Observations : Horrendous game for both J's. They shot 32% fg%.  It was even worse except for some of JB's garbage points. The Greek had a poor shooting game but had a triple double. Key stats : The Greek had 12 assists. JT had 6 assists. JB with 7 TO's. You'd think that Brown would learn to cut down on turnover at this point in his career. His BBIQ is suspect. Ime had no adjustments or strategy for the Bucks 3 bigs. The Celts won't win this series if they have to rely on 3 point shots. It's great when 3's go in, but we don't have enough 3 point shooters. The Bucks are playing like champs even without their second best player, Middleton. Some may make excuses for Brown b/c of his hamstring injury. Well, if he was so hampered by the injury, more of his minutes should have been given to White and Pritchard.

Problem is the Bucks are giving up the 3’s. You saw what happened when the went to the rim. Stopped by Gannis & Lopez.  Gotta move the ball, get better looks.

I'm betting he'd stop if he could get the Giannis whistle and n0n-whistle ...

Garbage game.  Brought back memories of that ecf we blew with cavs in game 7 when we refused to go to the net and outside shots went cold.

I’ll lay this out real simple.  If we cannot get points in the paint this series is over.  Outside shooting only is not winning us this series.
LET'S GO CELTICS!

watched on tape delay.  today's hot takes:
- hang this loss on the J's with a lesser amount of blame on White.  J's were atrocious, especially Jaylen.  JT - 6-18 and 3 MOs, JB - 4-13 and 7 TOs.  cannot have another game like that and hope to win this series.  White, 2-6 and 1 assist.  not good enough.
- Smart 3-11 did not help
- Bucks came out ready and prepared to play a style that troubles the C's --> full court ball pressure.  Bucks were ready from the jump and C's definitely were not.
- Bucks defensive strategy of forcing the opposition to shoot 3's is probably the worst defensive philosophy they can face in the playoffs.  C's just way too inconsistent with outside shooting to rely on that for winning more than an occasional game when they're mysteriously hot.
- Bucks are a big team.  going inside on drives was getting them nowhere which is not typical.  Ime needs to figure something out where he can get players a drive to the bucket without running into 2-3 Bucks defenders.

C's aren't out of this but today was a huge disappointment.

The Cs shot 36% (18/50) from 3 today.  During the season they shot 35.6 and for what it's worth, the Warriors shot 36.4.  What really hurt the Cs this game were the 18 turnovers and shooting 29% (10/34) for 2s.  Cs definitely had trouble scoring in the paint.

The play where they called a foul on Grant when Allen kicks his feet up and they watch it, clearly an offensive foul, call a jump ball sums up how bad the refs were. We played badly but saying the refs had to affect is like you didn't watch the game.
there were some bad calls but this loss was on the C's, particularly the J's.  the blown goaltending call for Jayson was ridiculous

Lots and lots of bad calls. So much for home court advantage.

JB says they can't lose their faith, can't lose resilience and confidence and that they need to come out and play Celtics basketball.

JB, you need to be more resilient and play Celtics basketball. Keep playing sloppy and you'll be on the trading block soon.

The D could be better but it was really the O that let us down.

I really wanted to grab Robin LOpez for two seasons now. Would've been good against his brother. I also wish Ime had gone deeper into the bench on a regular basis as we need more guys he can trust to throw different looks out there.

It's a disappointment but the C's had to lose a game at some point and need to face some adversity.  Either they are the team we've come to think they are, or they aren't.   If they are, then Game 2 will be different.  As I'm sure others have said, it's pretty close to a must win on Tuesday.

Yep...no open shooters
