It was a small part of the game, but that period in the early 4th where Pritchard was just jacking up 3s early in the clock and missing them were brutal and basically iced it for MIL. Attempted 4 3s, missed all of them but also I think on two of them the Bucks went on the fast break that led to two 3s. Wasn't just that he missed but MIL scored quickly on some of them after.

it was like the C's read their good press this past week instead of keeping mentally strong.

The Celtics were the team that didn't tank a game to avoid Brooklyn and so they can have homecourt advantage in the 2nd round. And a few hours of a Scott Foster special wipes all of that away.
This is worse than WWE.

Anything can happen in game 1.  Unfortunately the C's did nothing right this game, including pregame planning from our coaching staff.

I picked the C's to win in 7 and I'm sticking with it.  The C's played terribly the entire game (yes, even when we had the early 8 point lead we did not look good) and yet at some points we had the game close.  Not sure about the health of Smart and Brown moving forward though.

If I’m looking for positives, our defense mostly did okay.  Holding them to 101 is fine.

We have to do much, much better at the other end though.  Nobody played well offensively.  The health of Smart and Jaylen concerns me going forward… we need them.

Go C’s.

That and White missing layups and turning the ball over twice when he came in early.

I think the C's lost it mentally after the refs didn't call that goaltending on Giannis on Tatum's shot...it was a close game at that point

I thought the same thing, so TP to you.

Also, for those complaining about the number of 3pt shots, we actually shot a higher percentage on those than 2s. I'm not sure we were going to shoot better on higher volume. Might as well as keep firing away from 3 and hoping for the best.

We need a better game plan and maybe expand the rotation to throw a curve at the Bucks.

Brown shooting 4/13 and 7 turnovers had a lot to do with this loss.

Concerned? Slightly

But this was not the team that was the best in the nba the second half of the season.

We can and will play better. They will adjust. They will figure it out.

Yeah that White stretch in the 1st half was terrible. MIL literally went on a 13-2 run because of that too

Giannis actually had a quadruple double. They forgot his 12 fouls.
Qunituple double when you count uncalled turnovers?

I wouldn't play him again in this series. He's not that good, and when he's not shooting well, he's a liability. Put in Nesmith and let him slash through the paint instead. And maybe the living embodiment of chaos that is Aaron Nesmith will fluster the opposition.

We got our ass kicked in every category today. The next game is critical.

Cs contained Giannis's scoring and he picked them apart with 12 assists. Maybe invert our D and make Giannis beat us instead of giving everyone else open looks.
