Couldn't care less what anyone says. No one has asterisks on their titles because half our lineup was hurt in '18 or IT in '17 or Kemba and Hayward in '20 and on and on.

as long as it is not career threatening, i am fine (heck maybe even a little giddy) with the bucks being down an all-star player.

i want another sweep by the celtics here, followed by a nice few days off to heal and prepare to stomp the snot out of the next team. and if their stars are slightly injured that too is fine with me.

Dan Dakich isn’t my favorite announcer, but he had Allen pegged in that summer league game.  I don’t know why anyone, including some posters here, tries to defend him.  And I hope we get through the series unscathed by him.

Bucks depth has improved with Allen, Lopez and Matthews contributing. 

It is natural for a team to let up a little when its opponent loses a key player. Ime won't tolerate that.

And they still have Giannis.

Key to me is whether we can hit the open 3's.   Particularly guys like Derrick White and Marcus Smart.  Bucks defense is designed around daring you to make them and packing the middle.  I could see Payton Pritchard getting extra minutes in this game, especially if he continues his hot shooting.

Yeah, I was picturing a lot of PP and Grant in the corners. I don't think it will happen but I wouldn't mind some spot minutes from Hauser.

MIL allows the most 3FGA in the NBA and is 19th best in 3FG% allowed. MIL is 18th in best in 2FG% allowed, so we should get plenty of decent looks from anywhere on the floor.

Assuming five tiers of 6 teams each:

MIL is a:
1st-tier 3FG shooting team,
2nd-tier 2FG shooting team,
3rd-tier FT shooting team,
1st-tier rebounding team, and a
4th-tier defensive team with the 20th best eFG% allowed.

They're going to try to outscore the Cs, so managing the game's pace will be critical.

BOS is a:
3rd-tier 3FG shooting team,
2nd-tier 2FG shooting team,
1st-tier FT shooting team
1st-tier rebounding team, and a
1st-tier defensive team with the #1 ranking for eFG% allowed.

On paper, we should win, and defense travels better than offense, but playoffs series are battles of match-ups and adjustments.

It does suck for sure. No one ever roots for an injury. Of course, it's a big break for the Celtics. It makes Boston's ability to defend the Bucks so much easier.

I hate seeing guys get hurt, and I wish everyone could always be at full strength, as that's the best test of any team's mettle.

That said, Boston's been derailed by injuries a gazillion times, so I'm not gonna lose sleep if the opponent is dinged up.
