With the series tied at 2 games apiece, the decision of Ime and the players to win their last regular season game has now proven to be the right move. Homecourt vs the Bucks will be huge, more so  since it’s now a virtual best of three with 2 games in Boston. Go Celtics!

As it turns out, the biggest downside of facing the Nets was that we beat them so quickly that we had too much rest and got rusty
I'm bitter.

Having 2 of the next potential 3 in Boston is definitely a bit comforting. Cautiously optimistic.

I think most of us had this series pegged as going 6 or 7 games so obviously HCA was looming huge.

Yeah.  Home court, plus the absence of Middleton, definitely suggests that we picked the right path.

What’s most comforting to me is that 3 games in a row the Celtics were stronger than the Bucks down the stretch. Game 2 was different of course but in 3 and 4 the Bucks wilted and the clogged lane began to open up.  If Cs can continue to keep Holiday from being a factor and if Cs can just hit open shots, they are in good shape.

Payton missed 2 3’s yesterday that are normally money. True too for the Jays and Grant on a few from deep.

Milwaukee was always going to be the biggest test. I still feel ok about my Celtics in 6 prediction. I won't be surprised if it does 7, though.

Agreed. It also turns out that the exact seeding of the playoffs worked in our favor. This is probably a bottom-5% scenario for Milwaukee (missing Middleton), and the Miami-Philly slugfest is making me confident the winner of this series wins the East.

Answer:  The path worked.

You don't think Bucks aren't kicking themselves for punting Game 82?

Nice!

And maybe, but I don't blame them either lol. Glad it worked out for the better green team  ;)

I’ve learned you always go for as much home court advantage as possible. I thought we made the right call at the end of the season, but I flip-flopped at the 11th hour, advocating for trying to get the Bulls going into our 81st game. Never again.

To answer ops question, the Bucks do (wish we'd taken a different path)

76ers would have probably lost to nets. Harden cooked.
