They still won late, but man the C's CAN'T afford another one of those long scoring droughts otherwise they'll probably lose. Those droughts where they only score like 2 points in 6+ minutes or something.

For the first 7 minutes of the 4th, the C's were outscored 17-2 like yikes. They survived today but that definitely can't happen going forward.

agree you have to get to the hoop and draw fouls if you cannot hit Jays during that timeframe

I'll be honest:  I don't mind this stuff.  Go ahead and flip off a crowd that is tearing you apart all night.  I'm good with that.

Just don't get in the postgame presser acting like the most mistreated victim on this (flat) Earth. You've given Boston fans every reason to hate you.  Surprise!  They hate you.  You're reaping what you sowed.  So play the villain if you want, but expect to be treated like a villain if you do.

4 games looks like a lot of games to have to win v. the Nets.  Very glad they got this one.

If you go to the Nets Reddit they’re saying 4 games to win against us is a mountain, so I guess both sets of fans are nervous

i am good . do not do reddit anyway. i will stay here with my own. hah

Got to give props to Smart, too. Excellent decision to not take the three there and find Tatum with the great pass.
You mean the floater. Two guys would’ve blocked the shot if he tried the 3. 😂

This is awesome!

Also it's been discussed but yeah, KD and Kyrie practically did nothing on that defensive possession. Durant in particular was just standing. Probably smart that Ime didn't call timeout and let the Nets regroup on defense.

i must of watched this a dozen times. this is one of the best, if not the best, defensive plays of the season. smart was incredible and horford was brilliant. and the tatum finishes it with great defense on durant.

i love this team.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

just finished watching the game.  what a finish.
-- great that they didn't fold down the stretch and hung on to get the win
-- great games by the J's, Smart and Al.
-- Brooklyn can't play much better than that, except Durant, so that's pretty much they're best shot and we took it and still won.
-- Kyrie is still a punk.  not enough bad things can happen to him.
-- need to get a lot more from GWill, Theis and White.
-- Timelord can't come back soon enough.  if they get to game 5 and he's able to play, need to get him on the court

After watching the incredible final sequence over 20 times, I realized that this team has grown to another level.

Derrick passed it to Jaylen in transition with 10 seconds left; in the past, another player might’ve held it and walked it up for the final shot.

Jaylen then gets cut off and passes it to Marcus open at the wing; in the past, he might’ve lost the handle or forced a shot up.

Marcus wide open at the arch dribble penetrates and delivers a great pass to Jayson with 1.5 seconds left; in the past, he definitely hoists up the 3.

Jayson pirouettes past Kyrie and lays it up with 0.5 seconds left; in the past, he might’ve tried to go through and over Kyrie or lose the ball on the spin or miss the layup.

We’ve been a subpar team in clutch situations since IT’s final Celtic season. We’ve seen each of the worst case scenarios as far back as midway through the season. It was a competitive game, but trust me, with Kyrie and KD having to carry 50% of the offensive load and in isolation against this defense, it will be tougher and tougher as the series goes on.

The energy has shifted.

Wonder if Durant is tired from the heavy minutes he’s been playing. JT is a good defender and saw that he had a really good game covering Durant but overall subpar performance for KD. He’s had some clunkers shooting wise the last few weeks.

Great game. Great finish.

Kyrie is a nut but he was amazing in the 4th quarter. Hope we do a better job of containing him on Wed.

Let’s go!!!

My gf doesn't follow tbe nba closely. She walked in today while Kyrie was throwing his weird little fit in that video above.

My gf "who is that annoying DB? I don't know but he just seems really annoying and unlikable. "

Me: "you got him pegged babe!"
