Feel free to wait the 2 games if you think it might alter your opinion, but if you had a vote who would win your awards and be on your All NBA teams

MVP - Giannis
DPOY - Giannis
ROY - Mobley
6MOY - Herro
COY - Jenkins
Exec - Altman

1st Team
Guards - Booker, Doncic
Forwards - Giannis, Tatum
Center - Jokic

2nd Team
Guards - Young, Curry
Forwards - DeRozan, James
Center - Embiid

3rd Team
Guards - Mitchell, Morant
Forwards - Durant, Butler
Center - Towns

Imaginary 4th Team - Paul, LaVine, Brown, Siakam, Gobert

While I'm in favor of having a minimum games limit since that isn't an actual rule I put people on there that probably wouldn't have hit a games limit (like Lebron, KD, Morant, Butler).

I also didn't put people out of position.  They needed to play at least a significant portion of their time at the position to count.  I'm not undoing history just because Embiid and Jokic are both great (see Bill/Wilt, Kareem/Moses, Hakeem/DRob/Ewing/Shaq, etc.)
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

MVP - Jokic
DPOY - Smart
ROY - Cade
6MOY - Herro
COY - Udoka
Exec - No opinion

1st team
G - Booker / Doncic
F - Giannis / Tatum
C - Jokic

2nd Team
G - Morant / Trae
F - Durant / LeBron
C - Embiid

3rd Team
G - Steph / Chris Paul
F - Derozan / Butler
C - KAT

I largely agree with your all NBA teams with some small deviations.  I also think there is a valid historical precedence of keeping players in their proper positions, and if the voters continue this, then Tatum SHOULD get 1st team.

MVP - Jokic
DPOY - Smart
ROY - Mobley
6MOY - Herro
COY - Monty
Exec - Brad

1st team
G - Booker / Doncic
F - Giannis / Tatum
C - Jokic

2nd Team
G - Morant / Trae
F - Durant / LeBron
C - Embiid

3rd Team
G - Steph / Mitchell
F - Derozan / Siakam
C - KAT

Coach of the year is always competitive but it’s even more so this year with Monty, Spo, Jenkins, Udoka, Nurse. I’m not an expert on the executives so there may be a better choice, but Brad has certainly done a great job to turn us from a playin team into a #1 seed caliber contender.

Agree with most of these Moranis, TP.

Giannis as DPOY is highly questionable, though. They are 14th in defensive rating, and as good as Giannis is individually that should be a mark against him. I actually think Smart has got DPOY of the year wrapped up. We’re clearly the best defensive team in the league, and we’ve done a good job of advocating for Smart. I also think the “guard” DPOY narrative is working in his favor.

I think we’ll also see Smart on 1st Team All-Defense with Rob on 2nd Team.

I think ROY with Mobley/Cade is a toss up, as well as COTY with Monty/Jenkins. I think Ime will get third, though.

a couple of weeks ago Giannis was on top of the NBA's defensive player ladder.

https://www.nba.com/news/defensive-player-ladder-march-2022-edition

I don't believe they've put out a more recent list, but nothing I've seen over the last few weeks would alter Giannis' spot at the top.  He is the best defender in the league and has been basically all year (and frankly the last several years).

I don't think he has all that much momentum to win it, but he should.  He is the best defender in the world as well as the best player (I think Jokic will win MVP, but I'd have Giannis).  Giannis has sort of hit that point that all of the near unanimous best players in the world hit i.e. the media is just tired of voting for him.  They did that with Lebron and MJ as well before (the last 2 near unanimous best players in the world).

Suns should win an award for having the best record in the league. Since no one there will win MVP, then they deserve CotY

Smart winning DPOY would be the absolute dream

Scottie Barnes - 15.4ppg 7.7rpg 3.5apg 55% TS%
Evan Mobley - 14.9ppg 8.3rpg 2.5apg 55% TS%

Very close between those two. Both contributing on winning teams set to make the playoffs.

Cade Cunningham - 17.5ppg 5.5rpg 5.5apg 50.6% TS%

I am leaning to Barnes or Mobley over Cunningham. Both play strong defense and are more efficient scorers. Both contribute to winning teams.

I do think it’s interesting to consider Stevens. While not majorly splashy, the moves to bring in Horford, White, and trusting Smart as the primary point guard are major moves that helped us get where we are now. He won’t win, but I think he should be around third or so just like Ime with COTY.

I have heard a lot of chatter of people with votes saying they will put both jokic and Embid on the first team (and maybe this is the last year that designation exists). It also feels weird seeing Lebron on the second team. If him and Durant have played similar amount of games durant has to go above him given the lakers are losing 50 games and Lebron will play 56.

I struggled with Lebron or Durant on the 2nd team, but went with Lebron because he has sli0ghtly better stats and the All NBA in my mind is much more about stats than winning (unlike the MVP which is far more value based).  I can certainly see why Durant would get the nod over him on many ballots though.

And I absolutely think both Embiid and Jokic will be on the 1st Team which would be a travesty in my mind.  Neither played forward this year and putting them at forward is an affront to the entire history of the game.  Any one that votes thst way should have their vote removed.  Same thing if DeRozan gets votes at guard as he played 0 minutes at guard and is basically the Bulls PF.  He isn't a guard and shouldn't be voted that way.  Someone like Jaylen Brown I can see at guard or forward as he played both, but not those other guys. It is ridiculous nonsense.
