Bucks have a game tomorrow they could lose. C’s own the tiebreaker, nothing is set in stone yet.
Can you explain tiebreaker. We split head to head with them and we’d have the same conference record. What would third tiebreaker be?
JUst checked. It falls to record against conference playoff teams. Where did you read we have the tiebreaker?

I’m pretty sure it’s division, where we MKE owns the tie-breaker.
Not if you are in different divisions.

First tiebreaker is a division winner wins it over a non-division winner. We’d both be winners with Phillys loss

Second is head to head. Tied.

Third is conference record. Tied.

4th is record vs playoff teams.

Grant has been consistently horrible for a while now. Especially in these games where he thinks he should do more because guys are out. I was really liking how he was playing all season until the last few weeks… Not hitting shots and a lot of terrible turn overs trying to dribble into traffic. He’s gotta step up.

We’re likely the 3 seed now.

We have Memphis, Philly has CLE and DET. If we win or they lose one of the two, we clinch the 3.

Philly plays Saturday. They have to play to win, since technically, Toronto could still catch them (if Philly loses 2 and Toronto wins 2; Raptors own the t-b.).

Assuming Philly wins Saturday, they clinch 4 and have a shot at 3 if they win on Sunday and we lose to Memphis.

Can’t imagine Philly wants to run everyone hard on the 2nd day of a back to back, and Sunday is also the second day of a BtB for Memphis, who has absolutely nothing to play for.

In other words, the 3 seed looks likely.

Wonder where we ll be if Bucks finish 1-1 and we beat Memphis  :o

I wonder that too. Because if I were Cleveland I would really want home court when I played the nets in the play in game

He definitely tried to do too much tonite, I was thinking same thing about starters being out.
He's a smart player though, he will figure out that he is playing outside himself.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

- If the Celtics win on Sunday, they can finish no worse than the third seed.
- If they win on Sunday and Milwaukee loses to either Detroit or Cleveland, Boston gets the No. 2 seed.
- If they lose on Sunday and Philly and Milwaukee win out, Boston is the fourth seed.

We will win Sunday easy …..Memphis has nothing to gain by playing their starter? Our PP will destroy their bench
If Bucks tank a game resting GA …..
I think we will still be 2 nd seed …..good chance

That’s what I thought. But see the link to tweet earlier. I guess we own the tiebreaker with Milwaukee if we win and they lose one. So the 2nd seed is still in play. Crazy. No clarity yet.

Yup, just saw that. So 2 also isn’t out of the question. Wonder what Milwaukee does in their last two games.

I look for them to rest Middleton and Giannis one game …..which could leave them 1-1

Basically to avoid Nets ,  Boston has to sit everybody against ….we don’t care Grizzles

Good news is our game Sunday is after the Milwaukee game so we’ll know what we have to do. Hopefully Brian Flores doesn’t add the Celtics to his suit. 😂

Ahhh such dilemmas. Don't want to match up against KD/Kyrie Nets, also don't want to match up against Toronto due to vaccination status.

NBA life be tough  :(

Probably been said earlier in the thread, but pretty sure Jaylen got a triple-double the last game he played without Tatum (win over Orlando in early January).
