honestly, I think Ime was trying some things out. I would have had the Ball in Anybodys hands but browns but i think he was putting him in a position he wants him to get used too. Our team is deep- Even Luke is giving us quality mins. Hauser is Sniper- PP is a Sniper got like 2 steals on holiday... Brown Played a Solid game today- he did look gassed. he was doing more he does on a regular game- play making and on defense- he didn't have anything left. Theis needs to dunk that ball next time I am glad he doesn't miss that in a game 7.  I love this team- Nesmith come on man, hauser and Luke and outplaying you.

That WASN'T a travel on Smart---he had just ended his dribble drive and his right foot was his pivot foot--the refs saw his left foot drag.

C's got screwed by the refs once again.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Winning the game while resting Al and JT would be pretty cool  8)
More than that, it would have secured HCA against the Bucks if they meet them in the playoffs.  Oh well.

Bucks have a game tomorrow they could lose. C’s own the tiebreaker, nothing is set in stone yet.
Can you explain tiebreaker. We split head to head with them and we’d have the same conference record. What would third tiebreaker be?
JUst checked. It falls to record against conference playoff teams. Where did you read we have the tiebreaker?

Call me stupid or crazy (or both) but I'm not afraid of this years Brooklyn team.  I think we could beat them in the first round even without Timelord and would rather have won tonight.

I’m pretty sure it’s division, where we MKE owns the tie-breaker.

Real nice Brown. You turn it over with your bag-of-tricks,
then do not get back to rebound a hustle block from Theis because you want to stand and complain to the officials.

Dude, you really are a sack of you-know-what. Go root for someone else.

Been a Celtics fan now for over 40 years, think I'll stay right here.
A bad play is a bad play.

Good for you. You're still a miserable human. It is what it is.
Ease up on the personal attacks there. Plenty of room to disagree with someone without them.
'23 Historical Draft: Orlando Magic.

PG: Terry Porter (90-91) / Steve Francis (00-01)
SG: Joe Dumars (92-93) / Jeff Hornacek (91-92) / Jerry Stackhouse (00-01)
SF: Brandon Roy (08-09) / Walter Davis (78-79)
PF: Terry Cummings (84-85) / Paul Millsap (15-16)
C: Chris Webber (00-01) / Ralph Sampson (83-84) / Andrew Bogut (09-10)

I'm not afraid of facing the Nets either, but there's nothing wrong with going for an easier 1st round opponent until we get Rob back.

And TPs to all on the previous page!

TP

A pleasure to spend another game thread with you Liam, and the rest of you guys.

I wanted to win tonight and get the 2 seed, but I’m thrilled with how we played, and we should be able to handle Chicago with minimal issues.

Ditto!

C’s own tiebreakers over Bucks in two way tie. Three way with Philly goes to Bucks due to winning percentage over other two teams.

- If the Celtics win on Sunday, they can finish no worse than the third seed.
- If they win on Sunday and Milwaukee loses to either Detroit or Cleveland, Boston gets the No. 2 seed.
- If they lose on Sunday and Philly and Milwaukee win out, Boston is the fourth seed.

watched on a tape delay.  tonight's hot takes:
Positives:
- great 3 point shooting for the first 3 quarters
- Hauser with some positive minutes
- Jaylen solid with the rebounding and assists
- Smart with some terrific defense.  29 points is far more than can reasonably be expected from him
- Team was in the game until the end when they had no business being in it

Negatives:
- turnovers, turnovers, turnovers.  too many stupid, careless turnovers
- so many isolated stupid plays that if there was just one or two, they'd have won.  The Nesmith out of bounds screwup, the 2 missed FTs by Jaylen, the blown layup by Theis despite the hand in his back, etc..
- short line up tonight fought like hell against a much taller Bucks team but Bucks height gave them a ridiculous advantage
- Grant did not have a good game overall.  just overmatched and a lot of bad plays.  a few bright spots overshadowed by more bad plays
- KEY TAKEAWAY - this team still needs to improve at PG to get to that elite level.  Smart and White could not get this team running a coordinated offense down the stretch to save their lives.  Granted having Tatum and Horford would have changed that situation but we just fell apart on offense down the stretch of a close game again.
- C's called for 4 less fouls than Milwaukee but it really felt like Milwaukee enjoyed a very kind whistle tonight with pushing, hacking, a couple of travels and just getting away with contact that should have been a foul.
